Kallan relaxed a bit as his arm was rubbed. "It made me so angry to hear that from you when we weren't putting on a show..." Kallan spoke. "I had thought about going with you but also thought about staying. When you said that though, when you ordered me I couldn't help it."

"You have to send us away? But you aren't even close to over throwing him. You haven't made any treaties." Kallan said surprised. "Maybe when we go tomorrow to town i'll find the group. Maybe they'll let us stay and we can be close." Kallan suggested.

"You want me to go make a life?" Kallan questioned surprised. "I'll take Helena away but I can't just make a new life. You sound like your never going to come back for me or her. What are you going to do to your father?"

Kallan was not surprised to hear the man say that he would have to kill his father. "We could be gone for years. Helena could not remember you by then." Kallan said. "How long, I want a time line..." Kallan said. "I want to know how long we will wait."

Kallan felt a bit torn knowing he would be away for the year. Away from Kronos after just acquiring the man made him sad. "One year." Kallan said with a nod, his eyes were full of tears also. The deep kiss was returned as he clung to the other.



Kallan had waited everyday for a year or more. He kept hoping every day until something within him just said that Kronos wasn't coming for him. In the two years Kallan had told Helena of her brother even though he had stopped believing that he would come back for him. When they were finally called for he refused to go. He didn't want to find out if the other had found someone from a neighboring kingdom to love, or that he just didn't love him anymore. Helena had convinced him to go along anyway. His stomach was in knots when they arrived into the kingdom, as quietly as he could he slipped from the carriage into the market. He couldn't face the prince, or king whatever the man was now. So when the guards brought Helena to Kronos she was by herself.

"He was lost among the market sir. He was very uneasy on the trip back. We searched for an hour but we couldn't find him." a guard spoke. "He is a theif and slave sir. Rumors in the market of the kingdom they were staying were that the man was stealing to provide instead of finding a job. I fear he has returned to that state now he is on familiar ground."

Kallan had changed clothes as soon as he had gotten into the market and searched out the old group. They hadn't been thrilled to see him but after a re initiation he was back in and hiding with them. He was now resting on a mat in the underground.

It was days after he had returned to the kingdom that he heard the first whispers of the bond out for him. He felt vulnerable and angry that Kronos would try such a thing. It had the group he was running with whispering and he knew he had to move.

He never got the chance. Soon he found himself drugged and when he awoke he was being carried through the castle. Giving a soft groan he allowed the drug to claim his consciousness again.

Kallan awoke slowly on the softness of the bed. Hearing Kronos' voice he couldn't help but groan again. He had been caught so quickly, he knew the other must have good control of the land now. Such control didn't seem possible if the place had only just become safe. That thought only fueled his doubts of the other, the thoughts that he had been left alone. "Go away." he grumbled. His head hurt from the drug and his body hurt from the re initiation.
