Despite being very tired, Amy couldn't help but laugh at Draa's comment. "No, I don't eat fairies, but Kits brought in a fairy a couple days ago. It was so cute and I kept trying to lure her over to me. She finally just sprayed some dust on me. I thought she was just playing around, but maybe she meant for this to happen. I put some of the dust in one of my drinks. I thought it'd give me a boost to my powers or something. Instead, I think it reacted with my magical side and made me all wacky. I guess it started working after I drank it, and it just got steadily worse until I ended up coughing up a cloud of dust last night. I feel like my body has gone through the spin cycle after the past couple of days, but before now, I hadn't felt tired or anything. Just pretty weird. Like really depressed and paranoid. So, the lesson to be learned from this is to not try and lure fairies over to you."

She groaned and took a sip of her cappuccino. "I'm glad Kats isn't a witch because she drank a drink I made her that I put fairy dust in. I would have hated for her to go through this, too. Those fairies are sneaky little creatures. I thought they were just supposed to be sweet and playful."

Fairies being "sweet and playful" is a pretty common misconception.
Some of them are.
Yes, but most of them are more mischievous than anything... which can include playing mean tricks.
The "sweet and playful" idea that people have gotten of them really helps enable them to get away with some things.
Not to mention that "cutesy" way they talk.
Hence why Ryzan learned their language.

Amy started to head to the door of the bar. "I'm going to go and get Thistle and bring her back here. I don't think you two have met before, Draa!"

Amy walked out of the bar.

Amy came back into the bar with Thistle happily trotting behind her. When they came into the bar, Amy went behind the bar and tried to wake up enough to make drinks if she needed to later.

"So, Tes, why have you not been getting enough sleep? You've listened to me. It's time I return the favor."

Thistle squeaked, still by the door to the bar, and started to flap her wings quickly, trying to fly.

Amy winced slightly at the last thing Draa said that she could understand. "Okay, no details there, please."

She sighed and looked back at Tes. "How did you manage to sleep up here without getting cold water poured on you? And what does Quillmane mean?"

Thistle huffed when flying wasn't working and she slumped over to the bar. When she saw a little green talking ball, though, she perked up, squeaked, and walked over to it slowly. When she was closer to it, she started to lean her face toward it very slowly. Her tiny nostrils began to flicker just a little bit as she tried to gather a scent from the unusual talking ball.
