I think for me it has to be a toss up between Blink and The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances. At least in terms of the new series. As far as the classics go Robots of Death has to remain a firm favourite.

Deadringers was right, Ec...elson?(can't spell it even when the bloody thing's in the poll) was a lot more intense than Tenant, the Doctor Dances is my favorite.

Good episode. Good baddies. Still don't think it's as good as Family of Blood. Or the one with the Oood, for that matter.

It's childish maybe, but I didn't like family of blood because Dr. Who seemed so small in the end... like the same feeling you get when you hear Superman died.

I'm torn on which is my favourite. I really like the themes in "Human Nature"/"Family of Blood", but I watched the two episodes weeks apart so I can't comment on the narrative. "Blink" always struck me as exceptionally well-structured.

I guess when push comes to shove, "Human Nature"/"Family of Blood" are real episodes of Doctor Who, whereas "Blink" just goes to show that a series' bottle episode doesn't have to be crap.
