TeaDidikai [Bavi] I got a tie on the Enneagram sampler test and they both sound very accurate... xp I'm glad I haven't seen a full blown fight between the two of you (Tea & Reagun), knowing how intense one can be with only one of you gonk Scary to think about... Dig through the old posts in this guild. You might find some. We got pretty spiky for a while there. I tend to talk aloud to myself (or objects) a lot. When debating with Reagun my husband would look at me like I was crazy because I was yelling at my computer. ~hugs and loves on Wing~ I think it is fair to say we always respected each other, but I like the way things are now better. Sounds like the last time I had an IM session with him. No fighting, but a rather serious discussion. I found myself having to read everything I typed out loud before I'd hit send, to make sure it sounded right to me. And oddly enough, I've never felt the need to do that when chatting with anyone else over IM.

missmagpie TeaDidikai Voodoo in the Bayou. I was going to make poppets for everyone of themselves and pull out some of my southern feast recipies- such as chillied catfish- and of course, classics like gumbo Mmmmm... catfish. Such things can still be done. Poppets are fun too. I'm not surprised Mad Science won, though, with professional nerds like reagun attending. xp Sounds like it'll be loads of fun anyway. Do enjoy it well! We will and there shall be pictures.
As it stands, I am going to buy tons of glassware and make some kind of monstrosity designed to serve our drinks.

TeaDidikai missmagpie eek Will it be like one of those complicated chemistry things with lots of excess tubes and beakers?!? Cuz that would be so cool in keeping with the theme... And there could be all swirly tubes and drippy things and mysterious colored liquids in some that people don't know what they are but have to drink... That's the plan. I know a few of them are going to be mulled berry-ciders. (Non-alcoholic for those on the other side of the pond). I also intend to find some yummy candies and I think I am going to have to dress as my favorite character from GG. Are some going to be mystery drinks of horrible foulness? Because it would be Halloween after all... Some tricks have to be played to go with all the treats! twisted Eh... what's GG? Will you have candied apples? Every time I try to make them they go horribly wrong but I remember having them once as a child and they were very good. Oooh I love Halloween!

missmagpie Are some going to be mystery drinks of horrible foulness? Only if my husband is left with the glassware for too long.

Girl Genusis (sp?) Quote: Will you have candied apples? Not for the Mad Science Themed party. For the evening of ritual- likely.

missmagpie TeaDidikai Candied or carmel apples? I can't stand candied apples, but I love carmel apples. Ummm... Candied, I think? The ones coated in caramelised sugar... which would make them caramel apples. stressed You know, the whole apples on a stick that you cover in a sugar type stuff that hardens into crunchiness. With the right apples they're just sooooo delicious! And without burning the sugar. Actually- you had it right the first time.
See, there are four main kinds of "candied apples".
The kind you are thinking about have a red candy shell- known as candied apples.
This group is divided into two sub groups. Hard and Soft candied apples. It's a difference in how the candy is cooked. Hard Crack or Soft Crack.
Soft Cracked candy apples are closer to Carmel apples- which are apples coated in carmel, which is softer than the candy coating and has a different flavor (think those little carmels that are sold as pieces slightly larger than the end of your thumb).
And lastly- we have chocolate covered apples, which are also served on sticks- and they came to be on the popular market as a gourmet item about fifteen years ago.
