Dotty could empathize with Ai on not being able to sense anything. She, too, was having trouble. Perhaps something in the air making it harder to read everything with her psychic senses, but everything around her came back... Distorted?
She did, however, feel like they were being watched in spite of her lack of awareness for the things around her. Maybe it was the faint light their party had playing tricks on her, but she could have sworn she'd seen a glimpse of a shadow darting further into the veil of darkness. Even Piper insisted she'd heard laughter.
Eventually, the group grew closer to a crystallized cavern, which Vivace pointed out. There had been a few crystals in the walls every now and again, but now there were thousands of them covering the floor and walls. "Th-they're very pretty, but I wouldn't touch them if I w-were you... J-just to be safe...." She insisted. Something felt very wrong about this situation, but Dotty just didn't know what it was, and that, perhaps, was what made it all the more terrifying.

Argo was still disgruntled when it seemed that he had wound up near the group again, Allure speaking to him in the darkness. As much as he hated to admit it, it really wasn't worth flying right now. He'd just hit another stalactite. It was also more likely he'd get lost or tired hopping around like some lame birdbrain. So, he considered her offer of him hitching a ride. A short frustrated bird sound escaped him before he relented his stubbornness. "Fine. I'll grace you with my presence." he grumbled, hopping closer before he could make out her shape in the darkness, hopping up to roost on a back spike.

Daiki snorted as Xiao Lan mistook him for a girl for his joke. Ah, to be so young and innocent. Not to mention that nickname the noibat had come up with for him. "Hahaha~ N-no, I am very much a guy, lil one. It was just a joke." he chuckled, looking over to Fifi. She seemed to be just as amused as he was, if not more. "I'm quite flattered you think so, Fifi." he smiled, taking it as a compliment.
Shortly after that, the group had to come to a decision about whether to stay put and wait for Bel to catch up, or to keep moving ahead. Daiki admittedly felt torn, mostly due to a lack of confidence in his own abilities in any upcoming battles. However, he did not object to moving forward as well as keeping an eye out for the torracat. Fianna lead the charge with a lit stick, in the name of their team leader Beltigre. "If Bel is anything like Mizuki, she'll definitely find us no problem. Ah...." he commented, then sighed. Yeah, it would definitely be more beneficial to try and get this done and over with, no matter the results.

Xiao Lan seemed to shrug off her confusion over Daiki's gender and smiled obliviously when Fianna said he could work either look well. "Can I braid Kiki's hair?" She volunteered excitedly at the prospect of a makeover. That was, until Daiki explained that he'd just been making a joke. "Oh! Sorry, I don't get it. You should keep trying though!" She encouraged brightly. "...Can I still braid your hair though?" She pleaded, very much invested in this idea now, too much to just give up that easily.
When reunited with Shade, though Xiao Lan was worried for Beltigre, they also had a need to keep moving, so she suggested a sort of compromise, one that everyone seemed to agree with. If nothing else, Xiao Lan was happy to have helped, and getting positive reinforcement wasn't a bad thing either as she happily rubbed noses with Shade affectionately.
"Yeah! Um... What did she say again? When we find Darkrai, we gotta rep Team Beltigre one hundred percent! And... And... Um..." She was trying really hard to think of other cool things the torracat had said, but unfortunately Xiao Lan wasn't quite as cool of a cat. She was only a bat after all! And a baby one at that, with the attention span the size of a pea.
And currently, that pea was fascinated by how Shade glowed in the dark. "What do those symbols mean?" Xiao Lan asked loudly next to the chengshen before realizing they were crouching in a stealthy like manner and, taking a cue, quickly crouched down next to them. "Oops! Are we hiding? Sorry, I meant what do those symbols mean...?" She whispered, also not really that quietly. Evidently she didn't know how to actually whisper, it was more like a loud hissing. She just thought she was whispering and this was totally how they did it, and in her mind they were being suuuuper stealthy too. Yep. Totally.

"Carteful sheila," he murmured, giving the Eevee a bit of a look as though inquiring if she was okay before turning his attention back to the others. "Yeh find a way outta here 'Luro?" He inquired, shivering just a bit. He was not enjoying being in this cave one bit and the faster they got out, the better.

Waiting around wasn't going to get her any yummy meaty bones to chew on. She flopped over on the ground, rolling a bit before hopping back to her feet. "Let's go forward, then. Rafflesia snorted softly as Allure suggested the reason she was admiring herself was because she had nothing better to do. "I'm so sorry you were bored to tears. Maybe next time don't leave us in a swarm of tiny balloons." She shot back, though she was mostly teasing. Mostly.
She also couldn't really complain when being up on the dragon's back gave her a great view of Argo flying into stalactites because he couldn't see where he was going when flying. When Allure extended the courtesy of riding her to Argo though, Raff narrowed her eyes. She still wasn't keen on sharing space for the winged water rat, but she decided to leave it be for now, since she supposed he was kind of part of the team, and watching him run into the rock-cicles was getting pitiful, really. Besides, she had better things to focus on, like Luna being an adorable dope and tripping over Allure's tail before letting out muffled yips of excitement and trying to climb up the drake's back.
Once Noah confirmed she was okay, Raf gave the eevee a lift up onto Allure's back since she was clearly struggling to do so on her own. However, she too was interested in the end of this tunnel. She squinted ahead to take a look for herself. "Uh... It might just be me, but ain't those colorful little lights up ahead...?" She inquired curiously. "Wait a minute... Those aren't lights... They're crystals." It was interesting, but also... Concerning somehow? Especially since she was certain the greedy bird brain they had with them would try and eat as many of the gems as he could.
As far as Raf cared, he could choke on them. However, her concern was that in his greed, it would trigger some kind of trap. "Okay, let's not do anything stupid here." She said pointedly at Argo. "I feel like the crystals are a trap. You ever hear that story about the cave of treasures or whatever, and if you touch any of the things that you aren't supposed to the whole cave collapses as punishment, burying you with it? I'm getting those kind of vibes. This is too easy." She explained.

The sableye tried to duck out of the way of the bone club hurled towards it, but no luck. With a loud clonk Dice's bone struck the ghostly pokemon right in the skull, knocking the pokemon back and onto the ground. Letting out a groan, the sableye staggered to its feet while rubbing the spot that was struck. But now was not the time to be dazed! After rapidly shaking its head to try and dispell its dizziness, the sableye locked its bejeweled gaze on the cubone, crouched low, and gave a loud hiss. It wasn't about to be intimidated by some baby!
Cling vs. Guardian Sableye 2 HP 4/5
The force of Cling's tail swipe knocked the sableye half a foot into the air! The gem-eater recovered quickly enough, though, and while it stumbled, it still managed to avoid falling on its bum when it landed. The strange ghost let out a few chittering sounds as it crouched, then pounced at the flying noodle thing. It wasn't so much attempting to hurt the pokemon as just grab it and pin its wings. After all, what better way to render a pokemon with wings near-helpless than by restricting their wings? That's what the shadowy sableye thought, at least.

Samson didn't speak much as he and Daemon traveled cautiously through the winding tunnels. Samson couldn't get any bearings on the direction they were going, not even an incline to help tell if they were heading towards a surface or further into the depths. It reminded Samson of old times of uncertainty and the feeling of danger being around any corner. As the pathway started to wind, light started to peek out farther ahead. "Ah, there's a light...up ahead..." Samson sighed, and slowed his pace. "Sorry, I'm not the young Arcanine I used to be, ha ha..."

Beltigre had been grateful when Shade defeated the drifloon that had taken her captive. However, she wasn't too grateful when another one of the ghostly balloons snatched her up again. "Hey! Lemme go, you stupid -whoa hey wait a minute, Shade! Wait for your fearless leader!" However, it was out her control; the horde of drifloon had shifted up and away, with no way for her to be rescued by anyone but herself. "rrrrRRRRRR ALRIGHT, THAT'S IT!" The torracat opened her mouth wide as she sunk her teeth into the drifloon, and started to shake it violently. "Thaths right! DIE DIE DIE!" She bit it once again, finally breaking the illusion. "AH HA! I wiiiOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAA-"
Beltigre started to drop; she was so busy getting her revenge that she forgot about being 40 feet off the ground. "Okay, okay, just gotta think gotta think gotta think!" She closed her eyes tight, and dreamed up something, anything to break her fall. The Torracat fell with a soft thud into a giant pillow, and rolled all the way down to a solitary staircase, similar to the one she had been picked up at. She got to her feet slowly, spitting out a feather or two. "Ugh...alright, still got it." Looking up at the staircase, she tried her damnedest to psych herself up. "Whatever! No big deal, I do better as a solo act anyways!" And with that, she started for the stairs, ready to get moving once again.

Raf had a point, she had wandered ahead pretty far. Though, the dragon continued to grin. "I felt you all had it handled." She replied. "Those Drifloon were odd creatures, strangely resistant to my attacks, but otherwise still weak." If they certainly had needed her help, she'd of likely returned, if only to not starve on her lonesome. Despite that thought, it seemed their team was quickly gathering together. Argo landed on a back spike, while Raf, Luna and Noah gathered on her back once more. Allure of course felt the small Eevee fumble over her tail, which made the dragon grin at the cuteness of it all. It reminded her of the times when she and her many pack siblings would tackle their daycare mother and play often with her tail. Finally though, it seemed they could continue once more. Bidding a silent farewell to her reflection, the dragon started once more deeper into the cave. "Hold tight everyone." She mused just before taking off.
Not long after they'd started to walk, the reflective mirror wall eventually gave way to crystals. Beautiful crystals, all reflective of different colours. They were gorgeous and of course Allure felt inclined to touch one, but then Raf spoke her peace on it. Well, she was more or less directing the warning to their greedy little fowl, but it was more or less reflective of the whole group. Allure gave a small sigh, figuring the dinosaur had a point. Not long after the warning, the way of avoiding the crystals touch was growing increasingly hard, somehow Allure managed until finally they came to a giant crystal located in a larger room, the sounds of chuckling grew louder, and soon enough many Sableye appeared, much like the Drifloon had. "Of course." Crystals would of course be related to Sableye, whose soul obsession is crystals and jewels.

Daphnes gave a smile to his friend. "Hmm.... Perhaps she's more like a shield than a sword." He replied. Though that didn't mean she wasn't capable of being a sword, Daphnes knew this much. He'd seen her fight, seen her train. But his trainer's confidence had taken many blows and she's become less and less like a sword and a shield. It.. concerned Daphnes. Even still, that lack of confidence didn't change the face that she was very much a kind human, as Daphnes had put it. Mogwai replied in kind about Aiden, saying it sounded much like his own trainer. "Aye, I think I like the sound of your Trainer as well." the bagon replied.
It was then Daphnes made his inquiry about how Aiden had 'saved' him, and well... Daphnes somewhat regreted letting his curiousity get the better of him. Not for lack of not wanting to know, but because he made Mogwai recall it outloud. "Oh..." The dragon replied, his face gaining a sad expression. "I'm sorry to hear the humans treated you so so badly." It seemed somewhat improper to bring up his own encounters with humans. What many saw when it came to Daphnes was his unique colouration, but beneath the surface of his scales, was the unique 'typing' he held. The word 'delta' had been used by those humans, but Daphnes was more inclinded to forget all about his past, and live in the present only.
Speaking of the present, it wasn't long after their their conversation was taking off, that a voice began to echo thought the cave. Mogwai was first to answer, leaving Daphnes just to stand around and be baffled. The voice sounded real, but like one in the back of ones head. The voice seemed to be starting a conversation, steadily growing closer and closer. Daphnes turned his attention set on attacking should the voice be a threat, but low... it was a Chikorita? The small green creature bounded into view, holding onto a blue mushroom that seemed just as luminescent as the moss at their sides did. It introduced itself as 'Chickpea' a rather cute name. "Uhh..." Daphnes seemed unsure of what to say. "Hello?" He spoke, cocking his head to the side. What an odd way to meet someone.

Holding tightly to her stick, Radium was focused mostly on her speed as she walked primarily at Ai's side. It was then the mouse heard Ai mention something about fire, then the psychic turned her attention to Radium. At first the mouse was against her stick being lit ablaze, but then after a few seconds of thought she figured... why not? It would be a good source of light and if this truely was a dream-like world, then the fire shouldn't actually burn the stick... well, the stick itself was really just apart of the dream as well. "Oh, okay. Sure." She replied, holding the stick out for it to be turned into a torch. With her stick lit, it gave off just a smidgen more light around the group, making it just a but easier to see through the crystal coated cave.
However sight alone wasn't entirely an issue, it was the sounds that surrounded them. Radium couldn't hear much, but it seemed Piper could. The dragon mentioned hearing snickering. Well, that was disconcerting. Ai wasn't inclined to hear anything either, let alone sense anything. Raidum began to shake her head, until she too heard something That laughter sounded eerie and she didn't like it. The mouse kept her gaze forward, not wanting to look around, as it seemed the crystals themselves were the ones laughing.

Argo settled in rather easily after taking his roost on one of Allure's back spikes. Looking ahead, he could make out the glimmers of crystals as the cavern seemed to open up a bit. It was still rather on the dark side though, so it still wouldn't be that simple for him to fly in for a closer look. His feathers puffed up as the stupid ivysaur opened her mouth. Was she making a jab at him? "Shows how much you know. Those crystals are worthless on the market. A dime a dozen." he huffed with all the attitude of crossing ones arms over their chest. It was a lesson he had learned years ago with Cyrus. Most of the shiny crystals found in caves are in fact worthless. There was really only a small group of people that would still buy them, as they believed in some made up properties of them. Even then, it wasn't worth the time and effort to get any of them.
☆ ☆【While Piper kept her focus primarily ahead, she occasionally glanced back over her shoulder to keep a close eye on her teammates so that no one ended up getting lost. Of course, that was hardly a worry with Vivace who was riding on Ai’s back, it was more Radium and Dotty that she was concerned about. Of course, the Pichu had promised to stick closer with the group as a whole, but hopefully Dotty wouldn’t end up falling behind again like back in the forest… So the Noivern did her best to maintain a relatively steady speed so that she wouldn’t end up too far ahead of the others this time. When Ai began picking up several small rocks and carrying them around, Piper was quite curious as to what the Espeon was doing until she struck one of the rocks against the ground and caused a spark to jump up. It all clicked in the dragon’s head as Ai offered to light Radium’s stick, and the idea of having a torch to help them see better in the dark was definitely nice to the Noivern. It would certainly make navigating the otherwise dark crystal cave around them that much easier. Of course, Radium probably could’ve also provided some light by producing electricity, but then again… Pichu weren’t exactly known for having the best control over that particular ability. So having a torch was probably better in the long run, all things considered, especially since it seemed no one in their group knew any Fire-type moves. With Radium’s consent, Ai used some rather neat finagling with her telekinesis to strike the flint and catch the stick alight with some sparks until a fire roared to life. Even though the light of the torch seemed a bit dampened by the surrounding darkness, at least it allowed them to see much better compared to just following the tiny pinpricks given off by the crystals.
Piper hummed as Ai shook her head in response to her question of sensing anything out of the ordinary, feeling more and more nervous as they pushed onwards. The fact that they had gone on for so long without anything particularly unusual happening set the Noivern on edge, as uneasy as she felt wondering what they would come across next it was the anticipation that made it that much more unsettling… And then, all of the sudden, she felt her nerves tense up as her acute hearing picked up on what sounded like laughing from somewhere up ahead echoing throughout the crystal cave, immediately relaying the information to the rest of the group as Ai asked if she had heard something. Piper frowned and shook her head at the Espeon’s question of how far it was. ”I d-don’t really know, t-to be honest… The c-cave’s echo is m-making it hard to r-really pinpoint where th-they are,” she spoke with an anxious warble, ”F-For all we know they c-could be w-way up ahead out of wh-where we’d be able t-to see or s-sense them…” And she didn’t like that at all… the fact that they had no idea of where these apparent stalkers were due to the darkness and the cave’s echo that made the creepy noises come from seemingly everywhere around them. Piper could’ve sworn she’d seen shadowy shapes moving around somewhere up ahead, though they stayed well enough in the darkness that it was hard to really make out what they were…
Vivace then spoke up, directing their attention towards what was ahead of them as she said to look at the crystals. To Piper’s surprise, the sparse crystals that they had seen here and there throughout the cave gradually transitioned as the glistening rocks became more and more numerous until it seemed the very floor and walls themselves were made of just pure crystal… It was very beautiful, an absolutely stunning sight to behold… and yet Piper felt that pit of unease in her gut growing by the second. In a way this almost seemed too good to possibly be true… She nodded in agreement as Dotty advised that they not touch them, just to be on the safe side. ”Y-Yeah… this whole p-place definitely f-feels like it could be a t-trap, better s-safe than sorry,” she murmured, keeping her ears trained ahead as she heard more of the eerie chuckling. It sounded like the entirety of the cave itself was laughing as the unseen taunted them, though Piper did her best to just concentrate on the path and tune out the disconcerting noise as best as she could. Though such a feat was much easier said than done when you had especially keen hearing…
Piper did her best to carefully navigate around the crystals, though it was becoming increasingly difficult to do so when the entirety of the cave floor was practically covered almost inch for inch with the things. The darkness ahead of them was gradually giving way as they walked on, until she noticed the tunnel starting to grow wider and wider until it opened up into what looked like an enormous room. ”H-Hey guys, look at th-that,” she piped up, gesturing ahead with a wing, ”Goodness… th-that crystal is h-huge!” The crystal in the center of the room was gigantic, it seemed to just barely reach up to scrape the roof of the stone room that it was contained in which was only a bit taller than it. The laughter gradually picked up the closer they got to the room with the great crystal, and then suddenly numerous dark shapes jumped off from the walls to land nearby. Snarling fiercely, the figures bared their sharp claws and gnashed their dagger like teeth in warning, their gem-like eyes glinted menacingly as more and more Pokemon approached the massive room in preparation to fight. ”S-Sableye… Th-They’re Sableye…” Piper said quietly with realization, she should’ve figured as much from the abundance of crystals they’d come across. Given that Sableye were greedy little creatures who loved little more than gems and shiny rocks of all shapes and sizes, it only made sense that they would be here in a crystal cave of all things. Given how much of the room the ginormous crystal took up, it was difficult to really see much beside it and the rest of the cavern's expanse. But Piper had a feeling that the way forward was just beyond, and they would have to fight past these Sableye in order to get there...】☆ ☆
