Well, I like the music NOT the lyrics
the lyrics make me wanna cry they are so badly written, but the music is good
I am a brancher between music
I like emo music, who hates metal,
i like metal who hates...everything else
I like punk, and punk is confused right now
i like ska, and ska hates emo?
the music is good for all genres
you cant let a music label cloud what might actually be a good band because they refer to themselves as emo
you cant just not like a band because its pop or country, because the artist mightve done something really good with their song, and just named it a genre it doesnt actually fit under for lack of a better category choice
Yeah, the emo followers do piss me off
but thats because they ******** hurt themselves for the sake of a lost cause
they believe strength is wrong, but i think theyre just too ******** lazy to live life
but yeah. the lyrics "wah wah, blah blah"
but again, some songs might actually be good, you just gotta listen once.

sorry, but the entire mid west did emotional softcore in the late 90's... god damn Sunny Day Real Estate.

and i still maintain most people dont have the intestinal fortitude to withstand a true emo band like Portraits of Past, Navio Forge, or The Hated, three bands that show most people dont know jack about emo. but dont take my word for it- http://www.mesaverde.co.uk/mp3/ but i doubt anyone will look at it.

edit: yeahh nope. still dun like it. lol. its a nice site though. just not a fan of emo in general.

they dont really call it that, but they really should. SDRE was pretty much typical 90's emo with out the bite and some indie rock posturing thrown in for good measure

and i dont mind people not liking the music. it can be fairly abrasive. what ticks me off is that so many people make the judgement with out hearing the real thing.

Hah I see. well by emotional softcore I kinda meant like the porn. cuz softcore isn't real porn so emotional softcore wouldn't be emo at all. lol.

and yeahh i agree w/ the people being judgemental, and it also pisses me off when people run around slitting their wrists and being so "emo" and they dunno s**t about it. no one knows any of the old bands. no one listens to sunny day real estate fugazi or anything. just omg hawthorn heights. lol

I completely agree with you. But geez don't you know, it's all about Hawthorne Heights these days? Haha, jk. Anyways, I had a friend who apparently cut her wrists and she would go around holding her wrists and go "Oww"just for attention. Now those kinda people piss me the hell off. Emo cutters in general do. Blah.

I just dont get how we have like 25 pages in here on emo. Cutting your self makes sence when you listen to that music though anything to get your mind off of how bad it is.

yes, changing the phrase from "your music brings tears to my eyes" to: "your music brings razors to my wrist"

lovely.
