'Yeah, pretty much," Olan replied in his mind. 'Because your brother killed a lot of people, and all those people were my friends, almost everybody here treats me like walking death.' He was, however, very used to this treatment. Since he had had to live like this for who knew how long, it was no longer surprising that people hated him.
At least Olan wouldn't have to live such a lifestyle anymore. Dustynn pretty much planned to take care of him, right?

When the duo arrived at the hideout, Demitri passed right through the door, forgetting that Olan was with her. After she got to the other side, she remembered and stuck her head through the door. "Come on in, it's unlocked." She smiled. As soon as Olan walked through, Demitri immediately spotted Dustynn at the top of the stairs. His shirt was off, hanging on his arms as if he were about to put it on, and a bandage surrounded his neck.
"Brother, what happened? Got lazy again, didn't you?" Demitri laughed, pointing at Dustynn's neck as he came down the stairs, tugging his shirt over his head.
"Shut up, Demitri." He hissed out loud, causing a few gang members in the living room to turn their heads. "What? I can't talk to myself?" Dustynn barked, making the others turn away. He motioned for the ghost and Olan to follow him upstairs, where it was easier for them to talk.

After what had seemed like a long walk, Olan and Demitri-san had finally arrived at the hideout. There didn't seem to be much change to it, so maybe nothing had happened there. Olan, however, could only hope that Dustynn had returned.
As Demitri-san passed the closed door and after just a little while later her head reappeared to tell him that the door was unlocked, Olan opened the door and entered the place. He was exceedingly glad to see Dustynn there. He didn't seem to be harmed, though he had a bandage around his neck, and he was very much alive.
After a small exchange of words between the two siblings and an annoyed question toward the gang members in the room, Olan, a little shaken from gang leader's bark, followed Dustynn and Demitri-san up the stairs. It seemed that whatever is gong to happen next was a private matter, only to be known between the three of them.

Dustynn skipped steps as he bolted towards his room, while Demitri hovered slowly behind Olan. She wasn't going to let the Demon somehow slip in and take the younger boy away. That would have been a huge waste of time. Dustynn seemed to know that and was already waiting inside the room, smoothing out the wrinkles in his shirt.
"Don't want to be known as the weirdo who talks to himself?" Demitri smirked, laughing a little bit as she flopped herself on the bed, just to go right through it. "Ugh, I hate being a ghost." She hissed, jolting upwards and landing softly on the mattress.
"I'd prefer to remain sane to my subordinates." Was Dustynn's only reply.

Olan couldn't help but silently laugh while Demitri-san went through the mattress. It was quite funny, and he very much imagined his own sister doing the same thing. He could imagine her annoyed yet amused face when she realizes she can't flop onto a bed anymore. Right now Olan was silently giggling just thinking about it.
Come to think of it, it's been a day since Somu left. She was probably watching over them, but Olan really missed her. He began wondering if she was going to visit again. Perhaps she would, but probably not anytime soon. Somu never was the kind to be willing to leave him alone. Even at the day of 9/11 their parents had to drag her into the Tower because it was important that she had to go with them. If only they knew that was the day of the disaster. They would never had gone in, and Olan wouldn't have to endure those years of loneliness.
At the same time, he was a little glad. He was able to befriend a lot of different and kind people whoe didn't care about his status in society. What he was happy about most of all was his being able to meet Dustynn, though it confused him a little as to why he was so happy about that.

Dustynn took a deep breath and sighed, closing his eyes. When they reopened, they were the exact as Demitri's, a ghostly looking black. "Just think everything from now on, Olan. Now we both can read your mind." Dustynn explained, folding his hands into a fisted looking praying motion and placing it in front of his face.
"Hmph, and I came here fully prepared to translate." Demitri scoffed, examining her nails with a spoiled-brat air, but she was faking the entire thing for amusement.

Olan nodded, understanding and immediately making a test thought. 'Like this, right? You can hear me this way?' his mind asked. It felt a little weird, thinking things instead of mouthing them to Dustynn. In that case, he would have to be careful about the things he thought about. They would surely be heard if he was too careless.

Dustynn's pupils swirled a bit as he struggled to hear the younger boy. Finally, the voice came through, loud and clear as if Olan were really talking. Dustynn would have sighed with relief at hearing the voice if he had forgotten that it was just Olan's mind's voice.
"Yes, just like that." Dustynn muttered under his breath. Demitri finally stopped examining her nails as she turned to look at her brother.
"Hmph, finally." She muttered.

'Okay. So, I'll have to communicate like this until I get my voice back?' Olan questioned, once more in his mind. 'I really miss talking.' It was true, of course, since he was the one whose voice was stolen away by a Demon. Thinking wasn't exactly the same as talking, or so he felt it wasn't.
Olan sighed a quite silent sigh. How long did that Demon plan to keep his voice anyway? It wasn't like it was of any use to him, so why keep it? So he could make his life even more miserable than it already needs to be?

"No, just for now." Dustynn said quietly. "Have I ever mentioned that I hate reading lips? It gives me a headache. Besides, it's easier this way." The purple haired boy leaned back into the wall behind him.
"There must be some obvious reason that you called us here." Demitri huffed, looking from the younger to the older boy."
"Yeah, yeah. Our Demon friend apparently hates my guts, did I mention that?" Dustynn asked quietly, glaring at his sister. "But that's not why I called you here. I was right, Demitri is the only thing standing in the way between the Demon and me, since our friend just strangled me unconscious as soon as you left." Dustynn muttered, pointing at his throat. "And I didn't resist, so I naturally have black rings around my neck right now, lucky me."

'So, you're saying the Demon is afraid of Demitri-san?' Olan's mind asked. It pretty much seemed that way, and now that Dustynn had explained what happened to him a while ago, it just seemed to confirm that question. It not only scared Olan, but he also felt very much guilty for running away when he was told to. For all he knew, he could have prevented the Demon from strangling the gang leader.
By now Olan was angry at himself for being such a coward. 'I'm sorry,' he thought. 'It's my fault you got hurt. I probably should have stayed with you. The Demon wouldn't have been able to hurt you anyway.' Well, it wasn't that he had wanted to leave in the first place. When he ran, he had no control over himself whatsoever. It was as if someone, or something, had grabbed him and pulled him to that church.

"No surprise there, I'm a terrifying thing." Demitri smirked, leaning against her brother. Dustynn made no attempt to push her off, but a deep-set annoyance overcame his face. "I terrified my brother, my parents, my grandmother..." Demitri continued, but Dustynn cut her off.
"If you had stayed, you wouldn't be here right now. You'd be somewhere else." Dustynn said quietly, knowing full-well that the Demon would have completely ignored him and gone straight for Olan.
"Ooh, sorry. That was me that pulled you toward the Church." Demitri said, raising her hand in the air. "Dustynn told me to, blame him."

'But you knew that you could have died, right?' Olan continued to question, a little sad. 'I wouldn't care if I was somewhere else. If you died, it would be my fault. I'd never forgive myself then.'
This was actually the first time Olan had thought about how he wouldn't mind going with the Demon. No, he felt no attraction to the villain. Actually, he very much loathed him, but if Dustynn was going to stay alive, then Olan would give up anything. There was perhaps only one conclusion to this, but he didn't want to believe it.

The two Loch twins stared at the younger boy standing in front of them, and soon Demitri began laughing. "You... care that much about him? Hilarious!" She choked out between gasp. "Hilarious..."
But Dustynn wasn't laughing. In fact, his face was almost unreadable. Finally, taking a deep breath, the purple haired boy finally spoke. "I didn't really tell you to run. I was more or less telling you to get off the bike and get momentum, and for Demitri to begin pulling you. She can't pull you if you're just sitting there."

When Demitri-san laughed about how hilarious his feelings seemed to be, Olan just looked away in embarrassment. Though he hadn't expected for this to happen, he wasn't at all surprised. It was probably like Demitri-san to laugh at his feelings anyway.
Olan didn't think anything in reply to Dustynn. It wasn't that he didn't want to reply. Rather, he didn't know what he was supposed to think without starting on another topic. There seemed to be no way to continue questioning or commenting about why Dustynn wanted Olan to leave, since every possible question seemed to be answered and it was no use trying to convince the gang leader that there could have been another way out of that situation.
