Hitome's automatic reaction was to push the two humans either side of him, and jumping high in the air. Demidevimon still floated high enough out of harms way, but saw an opportunity. He opened his wings with a rapid motion and and released a small barrage of syringes at the turtle. "DEMI-DART!" He yelled, as the syringes flew in a straight line to Tortamon. The needles only needed to hit a soft spot to poison the turtle, and at least make a getaway possible...

Demidevimon got excited at this as well. One of the syringes he threw at Tortomon hit him straight in the head, by the ear. The syringe automatically injected the fluid, and within seconds, the gold turtle was powerless to anything, turning a grayish color. "Muh Demi-dart ish a po'ent poison the degenera'es data. Now, if ya don' mind meh doin' so, Imma gonna do anothah thin' ta 'im." He got by the Tortomon's good ear, and covered his mouth with his wing. Slight whisper sounds could be heard, and as he did so, the Tortomon's eyes glowed red, and his head fell, into a sleeping position. "Tha's meh Evil Whisper attack. I can pretteh much tell 'im what ta do now, but he's too poisoned ta deal with." Hitome looked amazed at this and clapped. Demidevimon pointed at the Tortomon whilst looking at Strabimon. "Do as ye' will." He roosted on Hitome's shoulder once again.

Demidevimon started to rise up to fight, but Hitome pulled him down by his foot. Hitome smiled calmly and said "I would agree with both of you if he hadn't attacked us first. Personally, if this creature was docile, he wouldn't have attacked us, so it was shown no mercy. Demidevimon did the right thing." Demidevimon pouted, and stood on the shoulder he was always on. Hitome kept smiling a slight smile. "You have an antidote, correct, Demidevimon?" Demidevimon kept pouting. "Nu." He said out of the side of his mouth. "Tha' poison is mean' ta delete fro' the inside ou'. I would ne'er create an an'idote fer it." Hitome shrugged. "Well, we might as well put it out of its misery..."

Demidevimon looked away. "If ya realleh want meh ta..." He sighed. "I mus' warn ya though, I'm no' theh same person...." He grabbed Hitome's digivice and shoved it into his hand. "Now. When ya want meh ta digivolve, just have a surge o' emotion, an' I will respond." Hitome looked at the odd device. It's crimson colorations shone in the heated light, making the device seem even redder. Hitome thought about his training in various sword fighting skills, and emotions were something he could activate. His Determination made the device shine, and Demidevimon was encircled by a ring of data. The ring enclosed and when it broke, a larger-than-life devil like creature appeared. "This creature is simply a weak peon, fallible by its own sense of security. Fear not, for I, Devimon, shall be not only his mercy angel, but his Angel of Death as well." He raised one of his belt covered, elongated arms, and placed it lightly over the dying turtle. "I bide thee farewell, pathetic creature. TOUCH OF EVIL!" Tortomon dissipated into the wind after letting out a howl of anguish. After that, it was quiet. Devimon turned around, looked at Hitome, smiled, and covered itself in its wings. The data encircled him again, and Demidevimon appeared. "Now, le's keep movin'."

'Alright." Hitome said quietly, still smiling his quaint smile. Demidevimon shrugged his wings. "I hope heh don' have a memoreh of meh..." He flew slightly ahead of Hitome, and Hitome followed.

Up ahead, there was an odd, pertruding, spire-like thing, warped by the obvious heat and covered in gears. Hitome looked at it oddly. "I wonder what that is?"

Hitome walked up slowly, and looked at it. It resembled a spear, slightly, and had a ribbon, worn out and torn, by the odd blade. Demidevimon eyed it up, and wondered. "Tha' looks kinda dan'erous." Hitome shrugged. "I live for sharp weapons. This spire is no different, really." He knocked it over, and once it fell, a small pink ball with wings was holding the end. Hitome picked it up, and looked at it. It was a creature! Demidevimon backed up on Hitome's shoulder. "HITOME! Pu' i' down slowleh....tha's a Piximon, an Ultima'e level digimon. Heh can dele'e us easily wit' tha' spear o' his." Hitome looked at it and smiled. "It doesn't look harmful..." Suddenly, the digimon's eyes opened and looked around. "Where am I?" said a squeeky voice. "AHA! One of Datamon's minions! I will destroy you!" He released himself and lifted his spear above his small body/head. Hitome was alarmed. "Who the HELL is Datamon?"
