I can't eat sushi. Every time I've ever tried I got really sick feeling. The texture is just too... *shudder* Mushy and feels wrong in my mouth.

I've never tried the stuff personally, but I know it by reputation, and that is more than enough to convince me to never go near the stuff. I'm not that fond of spicy food to begin with, so anything that could cause me massive amounts of searing pain are generally things I try to steer clear of.

OOOH. I love me some wasabi peas. And I used to have a tube of the stuff, I put it on pretty much everything.
Was it fresh sushi, luri? .___. I'm really picky about texture and the sushi I've had just feels...fresh. I was on a trp to DC with girlscouts and managed to get it a few times in food courts. It made the trip rock. I've been hungry for octopus sushi lately. Where's a good tentacle when you need it? X33

sushi is quite yummy, when prepared right. if you can't stomach the idea of eating raw fish (salmon is a very fresh tasting fish, reminicent of clear mountain streams and the smell of the forest after a heavy rainstorm).
the fishy tasting sushi's generally revolve around tuna, and the seaweed wrapper used to hold it together.
as for chocolate on sushi, it's probably very good...a semi-sweet dark chocolate melted into a small saucer of soy sauce....the bitter of the chocolate would meld with the saltiness of the soy and coupled with a fresh piece of sushi, would taste divine.
personally, i mix my wasabi with the soysauce and apply just a little to the bottom of the sushi, on top i add a slice of pickled ginger to complete the flavor combination. devilishly heavenly...

So yes it was fresh and well prepared because my friend who likes sushi practically joygasims every time we go there, it just isn't for me.

I guess some times sushi is not the awnser ;___;
The best part about it is dipping your pickled ginger in wasabi and tricking the person next to you into eating it. I've done so several times and as long as they don't throw something at you after it's great XD

Is it me, or does "dipping you pickled ginger" sound really, really wrong?
