Eduard blinked and stared at Peter for a long time. He was obviously startled by the admission. "Then you are gifted." he eventually whispered, admiration for Peter's talent obvious. "I could only play after studying music for years... and it is still rare that I try my hand at playing without music before me." he smiled softly. "You inspired me, it seems..." For a moment, his violet eyes fell on the keys, before he finally spoke again. "Would you like to learn?"

P e t e r - W i n t e r sPeter was surprised, to say the least. He had expected Eduard to be let down, not inspired. Peter allowed himself to be happy at the thought that Eduard respected his musical abilities. He glanced up at Eduard with a small, but obviously excited smile, and breathlessly murmured, "Really?" Peter's face was flushed as he looked back down at the keys. "No one's... ever offered me anything like that..." Peter felt genuinely happy about Eduard's sudden offer. He was sure to accept it.L a d y - R o s a l i n e

"Someone should have." Eduard replied before playfully ruffling Peter's hair as he stood from the piano. "Pianists get paid far better than actors... though it seems like you have a brilliant gift for both." He was obviously teasing about the 'getting paid' portion... but was completely sincere about the young man's talent.

P e t e r - W i n t e r sPeter stood up with Eduard. He smiled brightly, and it was surprisingly and innocent smile also. "I... Thank you..." He couldn't think of a suitable reply, and was relieved when Sebastian moved into the doorway and reported, "The arrangements are ready. Would you like to look them over before the guests arrive?" Peter looked up, suspicious. He hadn't heard about any of this, and wondered if he'd have to make an appearance as Rosaline again tonight.((There is a party that night... right?)) "I can look over them tomorrow." Eduard spoke with a smile. "Tonight... I think it would do both myself and Peter good to go out on the town. After all, I should make a public appearance after I punched Rutherford." he looked to the young actor. "That is, if you are willing to don dress and makeup once more?"

P e t e r - W i n t e r sPeter was still confused about the 'preparations,' but he nonetheless nodded to Eduard and murmured, "I'll be ready in half an hour." He gave Eduard a parting smile and walked off to his room, starting to finally memorize the layout of the house. He retraced his steps all the way back to the porch, then found the way to his room. Peter would need Elizabeth's help if he was going to finish it all in half an hour, but he was ambitious, and quite sure that he was going to do it.((All righty. Sorry! Eduard smiled, "I will be waiting for you in my room." he spoke before winking. "Might be easier to find, after all." Of course he knew that Peter was having problems finding his way around the house...
Once Peter returned to his room, Elizabeth was actually already there. In truth, she was making the bed. When he entered, she turned and smiled. "You're back earlier than I though, Peter. I'll be finished in a moment." she spoke, thinking he would want her out of his room.
(((Hehehe, that's fine.)))

P e t e r - W i n t e r s"No! It's fine..." He blushed, embarrassed by his outburst. "I... I mean, I need your help if I am to get ready in half an hour." Peter smiled sheepishly and walked off to the closet to pick out a dress while Elizabeth finished up. When she was done, she came over to assist Peter, though Peter had already picked out the dress and found the wig. He handed the wig to Elizabeth and she turned away as he quickly changed right there, having no time to go elsewhere. Then he went over to the mirror ((forgot the word for this thing...)) and Elizabeth started the makeup process.L a d y - R o s a l i n e

Meanwhile... Eduard was getting dressed as well. They would be going out at night, so he figured something dark would be his best bet. Not only that, but he had a reputation for wearing white silk shirts... and he wasn't about to disappoint that reputation. He donned a new shirt and black pants, before putting on a vest of black satin. Eduard knew it looked a bit much, but he wanted to match, and obviously make an impression on the people he would end up meeting. People that he would have to explain rather rude behavior to at that. Anything to get them on his good side would be beneficial. Once ready, the Marquess ran a brush through his long hair, carefully making sure that the way it fell around his face, helped to accent his eyes.

P e t e r - W i n t e r sWhen Peter was finished, Elizabeth left to attend to her other duties, and Peter made his way to Eduard's room. He and Elizabeth had tried a new hairstyle; his blondish brown wig was up in a high and tight bun, with cascading curls framing his delicate face, which was accentuated with a slight amount of blush, even if he rarely seemed to need it. Peter was also wearing dark colors. He had on a crimson gown with black satin ribbons and lacing running along the bottom and sleeve. He also wore matching gloves and the ribbon in his hair was red. All in all, he looked different from his usual Rosaline, but graceful and feminine as ever. He knocked lightly on Eduard's door, right on time, and waited patiently outside.L a d y - R o s a l i n e

Eduard was busy pulling at his frilled cuffs, making sure they were free of the material to hang where they pleased. So when he opened the door, he was quite surprised to find Peter standing there in perfect attire. The Marquess smiled, exiting his room, though he continued to pull at his cuffs. "Simply outstanding." he spoke as he lead the way through the hall. "And I'm amazed that we even match to a certain degree. Granted I do suppose my wardrobe needs a bit more color." Eduard's smile however, was genuine. "It looks perfectly beautiful on you, Peter."

P e t e r - W i n t e r sPeter blushed, not sure if that was his own reaction or Rosaline's. "Y-you don't look bad yourself..." Peter remained quiet for a second, contemplating, then he decided to take a risk and add, "Though don't we all know that that's a given?" He smiled slightly up at Eduard. Peter followed Eduard out, wondering about their night. Peter could almost guarantee that they were walking, so he had put on comfortable shoes. He realized that he still didn't know the story about Eduard, carriages, and rain. He made yet another note to ask later.L a d y - R o s a l i n e

Eduard smiled, "It's not always a given." he replied, finally finishing with his cuffs. "I was hardly presentable the last few days, after all." "The carriage has been brought around." Sebastian said as he bowed. "Perfect." The Marquess replied, taking Rosaline's arm in his own. "We should have clear skies tonight." he added as he helped Peter into the carriage.

P e t e r - W i n t e r sPeter—or Rosaline—pouted and muttered, "It's unfair that you look dashing even when ill..." He laughed a little at the end. Peter was surprised that they were going by carriage. So it's not the carriage... it's the carriage in a storm... Peter was now quite curious, but he knew that this wasn't the time to ask. He allowed himself to be helped up to the carriage and sat where he usually did. He found himself staring at Eduard as he got on, agreeing with his own words. Eduard really was handsome.L a d y - R o s a l i n e

"I wouldn't call that dashing." Eduard replied, laughing softly as he took a seat in the carriage. Sebastian ordered the driver onward, and they took off. "Maybe you were seeing things, hmm?" he teased. It took about fifteen minutes for them to finally arrive at their destination. Of course it was a party... but it was one held for nobles and the headlining stars of the theatres in the city. Eduard's threatre had been asked not to attend, news which had come to him through Sebastian while Peter was writing his letter. Of course such a move was meant as a snub to Eduard himself. But he personally had not been asked to attend and, as such, came to the party anyway. There would be one member of his threatre there however... and that was Peter. In itself, Eduard was throwing the insult back in the faces of those who organized the gathering... Rutherford having been one of them. He was also insulting them by completely ignoring their request, even though the administrator of his theatre had confidently let Sebastian know that no one from their organization would attend.
