*sighs* Ah, sou da yo! It's okay. I was afraid to stand in front of a mirror when I was a child because I was shocked by how great I was. Bravado is only an act when someone can't back it up.

Amy sighed at what Kai said. That hadn't been what she meant at all. She had meant that he didn't always have to act happy if he wasn't just so that he could try to cheer someone else up. He was demanding too much from himself. But if he wanted to keep doing what he was doing, she couldn't and wouldn't stop him.
She had just finished her Brandy Manhattan. She put the glass in the sink and then got a beer to drink.
