Oh... I might be able to watch Law and Order: LA (which Alfred stars in) through Amazon Prime. I'll have to see when I have the chance because I might focus on watching it while I have my free trial while Legend of Vox Machina is happening. surprised

My friend's performance yesterday was so good! I'm so glad I decided to go see it. It was absolutely hilarious and well done for an improv show.

And, of course, it was fantastic getting to meet my friend in person after knowing her virtually for over a year or so now. I also got to meet one of her friends that I've known through her Twitch stream. As soon as I heard him speak, I was like "Wait... that sounds like _______" and later my friend confirmed when she was calling out to him to point that I was there. xd

I went expecting to just see the one performance but ended up getting to see two. They were allowing people who had viewed the U.S.S. Improvise show stay and see their Funny Money show afterwards for free. So, that was neat getting to see how that performance was.

And of course seeing the shenanigans that took place afterwards. xd Wish I could've stayed longer but alas work... and it was already getting past 1 AM by then.

So, by the time I got home and ready for bed, I am essentially working on less than 5 hours of sleep.

It's fine.

I absolutely loved every single moment of last night and don't regret the late night entertainment.

Saw someone doing this little questionnaire regarding Alfred Molina. So, I thought I would do it with my own answers.

1) How many movies I've seen him in:
I know for certain 13... but there may be a few other films I did watch and just don't remember seeing them. A good chunk I've seen but didn't realize he was in them, so it's sort of a treat to go back and focus specifically on his character/role.

2) How I feel about his acting:
As I'm watching (and re-watching, in some cases) his films, I am absolutely in love with how talented he is. From your sweet older gentleman just wanting to earn some money for his family ("A Family Man") to a womanizing artist ("Frida") to a scientist-turned-villain ("Spider-Man 2"/"No Way Home"), it's amazing how wide of a range of characters he's able to portray. And it's awesome that he brings in his heritage with these roles too. He's a bit more subtle and casual going with his talent, which is probably how he goes so unnoticed except for those well known roles (such as Doc Ock).

3) How I feel about him as a person:
I feel like I've discovered I've had a kindred spirit with me since childhood and just now discovering they've been there. A big thanks to "No Way Home" for bringing my attention back to Alfred (and Williem Dafoe, while we're at it). He is such a sweet, charming, and funny man during the snippets of interviews I've seen. I can easily transition my view of him from friend to father/uncle figure to romantic interest without feeling too awkward about that. He is someone I could easily trust and not feel like I'm just interacting with some outside persona made up for the Hollywood screen/red carpets. His love for arts and culture resonates strongly with me as well as being an ally of the LGBTQ+ community.

4) My favorite role he played:
Dr. Otto Octavius will always be my automatic response because that is the one role I know him the most from. However, if we were going outside of the Spiderverse, I would have to say his role in Chocolat. That was the other film I knew him from before my recent dive into his filmography.

5) My least favorite role he played:
I haven't found a role I haven't liked him as yet.
