Daniel kept doffing his gear, and kept his voice quiet so as to not rouse Amy before she was ready to wake.

"Alaska. The backcountry. Figured as long as we were trying to get away from people, we'd get as far as I could comfortably manage. Heck there isn't even a TV up here. There is a satellite radio in the entertainment center in the Den, next room over, but other than that there is nothing here to disrupt our serenity."

((sorry, i didnt know how long you would be, and i forgot to set him up for my being away today))

Shadow walked calmly to the desk where Jessi just returned and greeted her with a bow, "Hello, I made it, like I promised. It wasn't too hard to find. I think I'll try out the lounge." He then turned and walked over to one of the lounges seats and sat down in it. He decided he would remain there for a while and silently watch the workers and the customers.

Shadow got up, and decided nothing was happening. He headed towards the door for it was time to leave. He walked back to the place he is currently staying.

Appearing suddenly in Kits's darkened office, Daniel smoothed his shirt unnecessarily and strode in. Going around the desk he began digging through drawers and papers. He found plenty of references to work and the regular dull business of running a business. Finally, Daniel found a an envelope that had obviously been brought from home by Kits. Hurrying to his own office, Daniel located the address on his computer, and memorized the surrounding area information. Finally, he was back on his feet, and as soon as he reached his door, Daniel traveled again.

{{Since we're retroposting in EE, I figured we'd all be back by 2 (central time) so that Amy and Kits could get ready for their date. We'll say Jessi's shift started at 2. smile }]

Jessi quickly ran to the information desk to start her shift. She had been dropped off at AS, thankfully, and her skin was still slightly flushed from the hot tub and cold air combined. She felt so refreshed and happy, though!!

She plopped down on her chair at the desk and started rearranging the papers on it, smiling the entire time as she remembered her short trip.

Shadow couldn't remember if he had been told when it would be a good time to return nor when their trip would be completed. He decided that now was probably a good time to walk over to the resort.

He arrived and entered the door. He took a quick glance, quicker than yesterday because this was his second time there, and noticed Jessi sitting at the front desk. He calmly and quietly strolled over to the front desk and spoke gently, "Good afternoon Jessi. How was your trip and is your day?" He set a hand on the counter to appear to be leaning on it, even though he doesn't lean often.

Jessi looked up when she heard the voice and smiled brightly when she saw Shadow in front of her. "Shadow, hi!! It's so good to see you. My trip was awesome!! Thank you very much for asking. I just got back, actually, so my day's been pretty good. How has yours been?"

"As my normal daily routine is, my day has been calm and quiet. It is tough not being on a mission."  

[Jessi_Deramis]

Jessi thought about what seemed to be an oxymoron in Shadow's statement, but then she started to understand it.

"Well... I guess it would be hard to be going and going all the time and then just have to stop all of a sudden."

She smirked up at him. "I have an idea of how to help with that, though! Do you want a tour of Aqua Springs? I wouldn't be able to give it to you since I'm supposed to stay here, but one of our other staff can give it to you. Our security guard Daniel is working on a map for our resort, so hopefully if someone doesn't want a tour, we can simply give them a map. Although, I have to say that the tours we give on the trolleys are a lot of fun!"

Shadow was impressed, "Trollies? Is this place that big? I got a good look at the lounge and the pet stop, and I assume the lockers are, well, lockers. If you don't mind and aren't offended by it, I think I will pass on the tour." He added thoughtfully, "Yes, it is tough to only be able to relax when all you know is activity and action. You'd be surprised how exhausting relaxing actually is." The last part was a small attempt at sarcasm, something he doesn't do often.

Jessi smiled and giggled softly. "Well, I hope it becomes more relaxing the longer your break becomes. Everyone should have a chance to truly relax... And you know, I think this is a great place to do it! The place has grown quite a bit since we opened it this past summer. We've opened up a large skating rink outside to the far north, we have this huge multi-chute slide on our big snowy hill, snowman contests, games, snowball fights, hot tubs everywhere... it really is quite big. Ooh! I love the snow lift that takes you to the top of the hit the slide is on. So a trolley really is helpful to get around, especially when it's cold outside. You can get to places a lot faster in the trolley."

She sat back in her chair and pushed her chair back just slightly so that she didn't have to bend back so much to look up at Shadow. "The lounge is our most popular area, though. I'm glad you've already been there. It's so relaxing!! Even when kids are in there, they seem quieter. But my absolute favorite place is the pet area. I go there during breaks a lot and play with the animals there."

She had a huge grin on her face as she thought about all the cute animals she's gotten to play with.

"Ironically, I don't know if a resort for relaxing is the best place for me to find relaxation. I come here to find something to do, not relax." He looked around and observed that there weren't many customers around. "Do people not usually relax on Sundays anymore?"

He then looked into the open door of the pet lounge and saw some pets lounging about on the pillows and rugs in the sun. "Sometimes I wish the Dragon shadows that follow me could be visible and perhaps even my pets. But that just isn't the case. I'm not sure why they follow me, I haven't had to deal with dragons much." He then watched Jessi to observe her reaction to the last thing he said.

Jessi giggled. "That's the best about this place. You can relax or 'do something', like you said. You can go and have fun, get a regular work out with a lot of the stuff we have to do, or just relax in the lounge. Just about anything you'd want could be here. And as for Sundays, this place is usually jam packed in the summer months on Sundays with families, but it's less so during winter. Most families either want to stay in from the cold or they're resting from their busy school and work weeks."

Jessi stood up and looked at Shadow's feet, almost expecting to see dragons there. "Shadow dragons you say? That almost sounds a little bit like some of the animals that a girl at MW can create, I think. I might be remembering wrong, but I think she can produce animals out of the shadows. Her name is Leko. And, we have an animal specialist here at AS. She's co-owner and she's actually the person who did the art at MW on Friday night. It's Kits! She also actually has a lot of dragons herself. You should talk to her if you'd like to possibly make those dragons visible. Maybe they're following you around because you're the only one who can make them visible and they know that. You just haven't found out how, yet."
