{{Sunburn? Ouch. Last couple of times I got sunburn is was really bad. It was the worst when the spouse and I went to some march in Washington D.C. a couple of years ago. We got there sometime in the late morning I think and were outside the entire time, up into early evening if I'm remembering correctly. I remember not wanting to get in the shower because the water hitting my sunburn was so painful, and even just dabbing myself dry hurt. I had fun peeling, though ninja It grossed the spouse out just how much skin I could get off all at once.}}

((my first time out this year so i always initially burn slightly - it's just on my left collar bone area mostly not too bad. Once I get a base tan I don't' burn anymore. Peeling is fun though! I've had my share of sever sun burn before, you feel like you can't wear anything except what you were wearing when you got burned - yet if the sun hits the burned area it hurt even more! gonk sweatdrop ))

{{I try to avoid the sun as much as possible ninja Oddly enough, it does take a little bit more for me to get a severe burn compared to most people as pale as I am [the spouse for instance got a much worse burn in the case I just mentioned than I did even though we spend just as much time in the sun... meaning practically none]. I still do burn pretty easily, though. If I know I'm going to be spending a good amount of time outside, I try to put on sunblock of the highest SPF I can find.
Once for a choir trip when I lived in Texas, we were going to South Padre Island, which is one of the most southern parts of Texas and much much closer to the equator, so the sun is pretty intense there. Before leaving, I went and found the strongest sunblock I could.... which turned out to be meant for babies, but hey... I didn't burn nearly as badly as most everyone else. I probably wouldn't have burned at all if I had remembered to shake the bottle before applying like it said to. The very first day there, we were on the beach for maybe 2 or 3 hours... can't remember exactly... and practically every pale person there already had a severe burn despite applying sunblock. Apparently they had gotten SPF 30 or 15 or something, which wasn't going to do anything down there.
By the end of the trip, -everyone- was burned, including a friend of mine who was rather dark skinned to begin with. The sun down there is harsh.}}

((mean ol' sun! i remember burings very badly going to outdoor concerts when i was younger. but i think because i spend more time outside now regularly i do better with it. I thought i was sensitive to the sun because i would always burn but i never gave it a second chance after that first burn. I never knew i had the potential to not be pale! xd ))
