Angel Sanctuary...
Anyone who has read it would understand what I mean when I say that that two guys falling in love and kissing each other is a lot more tame than Angel Sanctuary, especially if you're only looking at the stuff that doesn't have either nudity or sex scenes.

Wow. This thread asks a good question. It's been so long that I can't really remember all too well... ^^:
But I think it was in 8th grade. I slept over at my best friend's house a lot. I had read some of her RP's and fanfics, and we watched stuff like Weiss Kreuz. Some of her stories were guy-on-guy, which as soon as I started reading I got hooked. And then, watching Weiss Kreuz, I kept thinking how some of the guy charries would be good together. I wasn't too obsessed though until I picked up Eerie Queerie! It looked like a cute story, and I've always been for gay pride, so I took it. After that, I haven't been able to get enough since. ^^;

Yue from Cardcaptor Sakura. We got internet when i was in 7th grade, then i went "hey! Why don't i look up yue pics!" Then almost every one i found was shounen ai...then i was a homophobe like mainly all of my family xd I laugh at that now then i went to this site that had this fanfic of him and Touya (which i knew as Tori) and asked why'd they do that.......what was hilarious was that they laughed at me for ASKING such a retard question. the next day i looked up pics and found the same pics as yesterday and said "Well......if it's Yue...>.<" and became a bishounen pic hunter!!!!! It went from Yue x Touya to thousands of branches! WOOOOHOOOOO!!!! I wanted to thank them for laughing at me, bbut i couldnt find the site anymore crying

The thing that started my Yaoi-high was actually not anime related. I was a fan of MCR a while back, and I looked at the website called "ImNotOkay.net"... I saw some threads in the forum, and clicked on the stories with the most interesting titles. It was then that my innocent virgin eyes were introduced to lemon-slash. I literally looked like this: eek ... then I kept reading the same story and realized that it was really good. I then read more and more, and then I started slashing characters in the anime I read, and I told my friend about it. She said that it's not knew, and that there are manga and anime that involve b.l. and I was like sweatdrop "cool! Where?" So she wrote down the titles of some of them, and then she wrote down in that same paper "Yaoi manga, for the lemon-slashers" I then went straight to Borders and read every single one until my eyes bled (not really though)... That's how I started my yaoi-high.

I was watching anime network with my mom and we came across Gravitation. We thought Shuichi was a girl at first.[(it wasn't the first episode..)] and when we found out we went, 'oh." it was funny.

I guess it all goes back to my own thoughts. I didn't really know I was different until middle school when I realized all my life I had wanted to drench myself in the body of another man. Dreams of where I was with men ( notice it is plural ) and how I enjoyed it so.
My friends liked Yaoi before I did. They would randomly come up with pairings and torture me and show them to me. Of course I was very deep in the closet at this time, so I pretended not to look.
As the years went by, I started embracing it, making it a part of me. So I joined them in their Yaoi love. I have my own specific tastes now, so their not that influential on me.
But I think it was my friends that got me into Yaoi. And I bless them for it. ^^

I've always been drawn to the expressions of love, for I think that love is decadent and unrestrained. That all forums of love are beautiful, masterful, sensual.
When I was around ten, I started to draw, I drew heterosexual couples together, but I looked around me, and just thought.. there should be more. So I started to draw homosexual couples together. Thinking that they looked better and more in love, because they had to go through bias discrimination and still held onto their love.

Yaoi just sort of floated into my life one day, found a warm place to curl up, and hasn't left since. I guess after reading FAKE and discovering Goku/Vegeta fanfiction online I was addicted.
