Narki They know that I'm about as straight as the Burma Road, so it should be obvious to them that I'm into yaoi. Since no one has complained yet, I suppose both my mom and dad are fine with it. dito heart eek mrgreen ninja

My parents and family don't know that I look at it. I'm afraid to tell them that I do though, not because they would hate me, or force me to stop. They just wouldn't look at me normally with ease anymore if I told them, or such is the vibe I get if I mention anything about boy & boy relations.

lessie, in order; mom knows and dislikes it; dad doesn't know and I'M not going to tell him; my older sister and I share ever yaoi/shonen-ai thing we have (not much else but...) and all my younger siblings are clueless.

rofl ninja TO my luck no, and if I have my way they will never know. It is not the most loved topic in my home save me. I love it, its sweeter and kinder then guy/girl. Its not so complex and the story lines kick some big booty so yeah. But no my folks don't know, don't like it and they never will.. I'll move out still reading it and them never knowing. biggrin

Well it is different with each member. My mom really is just like w/e yet another wierd kid trend. My dad picks on me about it and stuff. My grandfather freaked when he found out. My grandmother is just like "Lenord (my grandfather) Calm down let her do what she wants she is a smart girl" yeah that is about it

My family has absolutely no idea that I like yaoi.
Actually, they don't even know what it is...
Well, they know I like Gravitation, and my mother has even seen some scenes it, but she doesn't know that Yuki and Shuichi are together.
My dad is generally not bothered about the content of things I watch or read...
I don't think I'm going to tell them any time soon, because I find no reason to.
And it would be kind of weird to just say "Eh, mum... You remember than nice anime with the two boys, Gravitation? Eh, yeah, you see..."
If it comes up, I guess I'll tell her, but I hope it's not going to be soon - while she's not a homophobe or something, she considers boy-boy stuff "ew" to watch.

My parents are super christians.... if they find out... i don't know what.... though they do like homosexuals well enough since all my sisters friends were gay... including her boyfriend.... so... yeah... it makes me wonder... but they still aren't ganna find out.... not on my watch....

Update: I told my parents about ten minutes ago. There was no freaking out, no disgust, and no forced bathing in holy water as I had previously expected. I don't even know what drove me to do it, come to think of it. I just saw an article on yaoi being popular amongst teenaged girls, read it to my mom and said "I'm interested. I want to look into this." and she just hummed in a 'do what you want' fashion. The confidence that stemmed from her nonchalant reaction drove me to do the same with my dad, who I was more worried about. When I said "Do you think I'm weird now?" he just said "Nah, not really." and that was that.
My little sister had little to no reaction because she has recently stumbled upon Harry/Draco fanart all on her own and got a great kick out of it. I don't think anything I do would seriously bug her out anyway. For some reason she looks up to me.
Anyway, the entire thing was pretty anti-climactic. I guess it was the delivery or something. "This doesn't make me strange, though, because look! It's a popular sub-genre for straight women!"

My family doesn't know, and I have no intention of letting them find out. Well, my parents definitely don't know. My brother may have some idea, since he read my ff.net profile and I mention it there.
My mom, I haven't a clue how she'd react. Dad is kind of a don't ask don't tell kind of person. He has no problem with homosexuals, though I think that has something to do with the fact that he's so obviously straight he hasn't been hit on. xd
Of course, Dad can also do a stereotypical 'gay' voice on command that's kind of creepy. burning_eyes He's said that actual gay guys have looked at him and said it was kind of scary. whee

My younger sister knows, as she watches it with me. But as far as I know, none of my other family members know about yaoi. I'm not sure how they'd react, because my family is quite unpredictable. I have a bit of a sneaking suspicion my mom know's though, because:
A. I forced her to go and buy me Brokeback Mountain the day it came out.
B. I told her to buy me the FAKE anime, and after she did she kept asking me awkward questions about it like, "So, do you know what this is about?" and "Have any of your friends seen it? Where did they see it?"
C. My younger sister had the gall to try and strike up a conversation about Harry/Draco while my mom was two feet away turning up the volume on the tv.
So yes, I'm not sure. sweatdrop

im so not telling my family...mainly because my sister will question my sexuality...for some reason! even though ive told her a gazillion times thats im straight.
and forget my parents...lol i can see it now..
besides either way when they do catch me..my mom sometimes thinks one of the characters (ex.shindou shuichi) is a girl.. rofl eek

Well to tell the truth I don't really have to worry about my mom finding out. I have been out of the house for years now living with my boyfrined. Now there is another story! My boyfriend knows... he is an owner of a comic book store and I order all my anime from him smile so yes that also means all my yaoi comes from his store. So not only dose he know I like yaoi but he also knows how much I spend on it and what titles I read! So he is ok with it. I also went back and thought about how my mom would have acted if I had been into yaoi when I was still living at home, and I know that she would have been fine with it. I don't think that she would have watched any really graphic stuff with me but maybe Gravi or YnM. But sadly the only anime that I was able to get her into on my last visit out to see her was Lupon the Third sweatdrop
