Leilani opened her eyes. All she could see was brown goo. Closing them again, she wiped her eyes. Giving an odd blink, she slowly attempted to get up. then she panicked when she realized her sash thingy had come untied in the process of escaping the labrynth.

Quickly diving back into the mud, she swished it this way and that looking for her golden apple. All this trouble and she looses it?

Hands wrapping around a small, round object, she quickly crawled over and wiped it off on the bottom of the nearest skirt she could find. YES! IT was the golden apple.

Looking up, she realized she was wiping the scarf off on Venus's skirt. Blushing up to her eyebrows and down to her feet, she nearly died. "I...I am so sorry" she muttered, backing away quickly.

Moana made a face. "It wasn't that lost...unless she just didn't wanna' get her silly hair wet," she snorted, figuring if her current behavior were any sign, that was likely the correct answer. What was wrong with a little water? Land Pae were weird.

Alright, she just had to get the crazy woman off the hedge wall and get the tiara back on her head. Right? It made some sort of sense anyway, and seemed worth a try.

Glancing to her feet again, Moana picked up a medium-sized rock, not too heavy, but not too light either. Shame there weren't any spears laying about instead, but that would probably be asking for too much. After making sure the woman was still distracted by herself in the mirror, the Naiad snuck over to the wall, holding the rock at ready in case she needed to protect herself. Glancing up, she set her eyes on her target...Aglaia's foot.

With a leap, she grabbed hold of the Grace's foot, attempting to use her body weight to drag her off the wall and down where she could slap the tiara back on her head. Totally great plan.

He looked like a bird. She frowned, glaring at him. "Lets just get this over with Cadassi. I don't like this maze at all." Leitha growled, moving in the direction he had indicated. It seemed like a trap, but the other two options weren't exactly favorable either.

Relaxing a bit now that they were safe, back in Venus' temple, Himeros chuckled and sheepishly rubbed his neck in response. "Err...you can't. Not exactly, Abby. Just um...wait it out, and it'll wear off. In fact, you two kids have a nice night, you hear?" He winked, chuckling to himself as the pair disappeared and he turned to check on the other couple.

Tocino grabbed the map and held it up for Navidad to see. "A map!!!" he yelled. "We found a map!" Running back to Navidad, he held it out for Navidad to see.

"Which way should we go?" he asked, examining the map closely. "Maybe this way?" he said with a point.

Cadassi trailed after her, grabbing a couple more feather's before he left. He was gonna have a nice collection when they made it outta here.

Finally catching up to Leitha, he followed her nervously. "I like the feathers..." he mumbled.

Navidad + Tocino chose option number 19

Navidad cringed as the box was opened, honestly expecting the worst. So when Tocino was rewarded with a map, she nearly jumped the poor male to give him a tight hug. "This is wonderful!" Unfortunately, there wasn't much in the way of landmarks to show exactly where they were, but several of the marks on the map were moving around.

"Tocino, lets go after the others and see if maybe they recognize any of these landmarks! The more minds, the more likely we can figure this out."

"You look like a bird Cadassi." She rolled her eyes, wondering exactly what he was doing with all of those feathers. No matter, she needed to concentrate on what they were doing.

Quote:
13. While strange and intriguing, you decide the hedge personages won't offer any help in getting out of this labyrinth and continue on down a dimly lit path to the south of where you entered the open area.

The open area is round, and there's a fountain right in the middle. There are statues of three women. They're dancing around each other, with their right hands up holding the bowl in which the water flows. They should be recognizable as Thalia, Euphrosyne and Aglaia, Venus' daughters. At the opposite end of the area is a golden archway that seems to have been skipped when Eris painted this garden with her dreary grey and purple scheme. Come to think of it, this whole garden area surrounded the statues seems to have been skipped by Eris' magic. The plants are lush, green and living, the fountain is flowing, and everything is colorful and very reminiscent of Venus. Even the lovely little pedestals with decorative eggs that line the rim of this garden look vibrant and lively.

Round 4

Part 1 (of 3)

Positioned on each side of the golden archway are tall statues of the Spartan Graces -- Kleta and Phaenna -- standing tall and proud with their shields on their arms, and spears in their hands. They even have lovely feminine versions of the famous Spartan crested helmet, making them look like fierce, dangerous beauties. Wait, did one of them just blink? You swear it just blinked, but it's just a statue, right?

Notable items scattered around the fountain include a small, pocket-sized journal with hand-written poems and sonnets; a pink-feathered quill; a rubber chicken, a clay jar with a cork stopper and something buzzing inside, but you can't tell what it is unless you uncork it; three water balloons, but it's unclear if that is really water inside; and a small red, yellow and white maneki neko figurine.

22. After getting spooked by that Spartan Grace statue, you decide staying here is not a good idea, so you skirt around the right edge of the area to the first path leading away. After walking down this path for a long ways, you start to wonder if perhaps you've found the way out. There's been no twists or turns, or even options to go another direction. The dim light has proven to come from the rickety wrought iron lanterns and candles that the wind seems insistent to blow out. The shadows from the flickering light has started casting shadows on the hedge walls, and if you didn't know any better, the shadows started taking on peculiar and recognizable shapes.

You could have sworn one of those shadows looked like a giant bull. And other looked like a woman with large wings holding a spear, just like the statues. Yet one more took on the form of a mother with a child.

Deciding this is Eris trying to scare you, you run down the path trying to find the end.

23. You swear that the statues are just statues. They're made of marble, and have no color, and last you checked, the Graces were very colorful, so it obviously was just your eyes playing tricks on you in the low light. You approach the statues and knock on one of them to confirm that it is indeed, made of stone.

24. You notice a path to the left, and run straight for it, not wanting to see if that statue will come alive or not. The path to the next open area was short, and although you were still a little worried about the statue, the sight of a an injured, glowing white doe lying in the middle of the dark garden grabs your attention.

"I really hope I'm right too...." Amadorine muttered softly, climbing into the bushes behind Thom. The bushes scratched and branches poked her as she pushed her way through, stumbling through to the other side. Taking a moment to brush herself off, she looked up just in time to see a glowing doe staring at them. "Thom...." She didn't take her eyes off of the animal as she reached around for him. "I think I found something...."

Charming, and the effect of her dance enthralled enchantment is temporary sadness and depression, lasting 24 hours.

Quote:
14. You decide to investigate the hedge personages.

This may not have been the best idea. As fascinating as the giant topiary were, something seems ... off ... about them. The topiary of the unknown female starts to shake, with leaves falling everywhere. The limbs start to wiggle and move, becoming fully animated. Then the headless Psyche topiary does the same, and on down the line, until the Venus topiary is reaching for the Pae'il nearby.

On the opposite side of the space, a lithe, feminine figure leans against the hedge with her arms folded in front of her. Her head is down but the purple glow from her eyes is still faintly visible. It is unlikely the pair of Pae who stayed behind will notice her right away, given their current state of distraction.

She waits, watching. Will the topiary do the job for her, she wonders. How long till they notice the Venus topiary is trying to grab them?

This is taking too long, so she decides to start dancing her way towards them, aiming her spell at them both: The Goddess of Mirth's enthralled-enchanted dance causes extreme sadness and depression.

There are no extra items lying around, so if another couple took something useful, Namaqua and Thaddeus will have to be creative in order to subdue her. Euphrosyne's tiara was picked up by one of the Goddess-shaped topiaries. When the unknown goddess topiary moved, it did reveal an unlocked chest. Inside are various toys, such as a doll, horse figurine, jacks, a jump-rope, coloring pages and pencils, a butterfly net and unfinished needlepoint of what looks like a portrait of a blue butterfly on a pink heart. There is also a photo album with many torn photos.

((You must first find a way to subdue, knock-out, stun or otherwise distract Euphrosyne just long enough to put her tiara on. Choose a logical item, RP your Pae'il trying to use it on Euphrosyne, and roll one ten-sided die. The combined total of the couple's dice must be greater than Euphrosyne's health ( 8 ). Roll in pairs until you roll a combined 8 or higher. The longer it takes, the longer she has to do harm. Once the tiara is on her head, Eris' enthrallment ends and Venus can help.))

Leitha is taking one water balloon, the journal, and the buzzing jar, and uncorking it

DaemonGabrielle

Leitha kept her eyes open, looking for signs of anyone else around. Luckily, no one seemed to be there. Just a few weird looking eggs. The naiad frowned. It was frilly and weird looking in here. Being honest, she hated it. If anything, the lack of taint here seemed to put her more on edge than the taint did.

The naiad shuddered, looking at the items they had stumbled upon. The buzzing pot, water balloons... Little feline creature figure. What the hell was that thing? She picked it up for a moment to examine it. Well it was interesting. Useless to her, but interesting. Most interesting, there was a journal. Setting down the figurine, Leitha picked up the journal. Someone had been here, nothing else would have left it. Leitha assumed they'd been lucky so far in that they had only been with other pae'il up until now. Now it was just her and Cadassi, and she was certain he didn't know how to fight.

With a shake of her head, Leitha made a decision on which items to take. The journal, a water balloon, and the clay jar. First though, Leitha uncorked the jar. It was buzzing and she had to know what it was.

Will kick your a** - nothing charming about that, and the effect of her enthralled dance enchantment is temporary disgrace and shame, lasting 24 hours.

Quote:
15. Being the clever Pae that you are, you decide to use that vandalized hedge personage to your advantage. You managed to push the fallen head to the base of the hedge and created a way to climb up on top of the hedge. You help your date (and any others that may have followed) and can see the entire hedge maze from your vantage point. You start heading towards a bright light and what you assume is a portal out of this nightmare.

Treading carefully along the hedge, to avoid falling in, or off, you start heading towards the light, feeling in your gut that's a portal out. Nothing that bright has been seen yet in this dark, forsaken place. The closer you get, the more cautious you become. A silhouette appears. It's hard to distinguish at first, but as you get closer, you can start to make out details: A crested helmet, large circular shield, a billowing cape and the figure -- definitely female -- has a very large spear she appears to be leaning on. Her eyes flash purple, and before you can react, she's hurled the spear your direction.

You've just ran into the fearless Spartan Goddess of Glory, Phaenna.

Unable to keep your balance on the hedge, you end up tumbling over into a pile of dirt and straw, in a portion of the maze that does not have any exits, however, you can tell by looking around it is a training ground. Helmets, gauntlets, greaves, wooden practice swords, and straw fighting dummies litter the area. There is a large barrel in the corner, full of drinking water (Phaenna's tiara is at the bottom -- the barrel is very large, approx. 4 ft. high).

In the opposite corner, directly under where Phaenna stands with a smirk (she's already retrieved the hurled spear while you were distracted looking around) is a bin full of random items combatants use to train with. Most notable is a worn fishing net, among more old wooden weapons.

((Twitch: you control Phaenna here. Remember she's under Eris' control so she can be as crazy as you want her to be. Her power has been reversed, so she can make Pae feel shame and disgrace.
Twitchapher the 3rd

You must first find a way to subdue, knock-out, stun or otherwise distract Phaenna just long enough to put her tiara on. Choose a logical item, RP your Pae'il trying to use it on Phaenna, and roll one ten-sided die. The combined total of the couple's dice must be greater than Phaenna's health ( 8 ). Roll in pairs until you roll a combined 8 or higher. The longer it takes, the longer she has to do harm. Once the tiara is on her head, Eris' enthrallment ends and Venus can help.))

Charming, and the effect of his arrow is soul binding, joining the Pae'il in marriage.

Quote:
16. This is definitely a trap. You're too clever to all for any of Eris' silly traps. You decide to stay on the well-lit path and continue on with your date.

Continuing on the path seems like a grand idea, because it just kept getting brighter and brighter and the hedge turned greener and greener. Flowers were starting to show up. Turning the corner, the path starts to really turn fancy. There is silk banners in lively, pastel colors hung with beautiful flowers. There's a white satin carpet lining the path now, but you can't recall where it started, but looking both directions, it appear is has been there the whole time.

Music has started playing. It's something you've never heard before, but you feel deep in your soul that it's familiar. You come towards the end of the path, which opens up into a lovely garden all decorated as if someone was having a wedding. You step over the threshold, and notice you and your date are now standing underneath a wedding arch, and there are two cages with turtledoves on either side of you.

There is a little pedestal beside Celestia, with a red velvet pillow on top. And resting on top of that is a lacy blue garter belt, and two delicate golden rings. While you're taking in the whole setting, you don't notice at first the bright yellow Erote adorned with a flower garland standing at the back of the wedding service, his crossbow loaded with two arrows, aimed directly at Aquos and Princess Celestia's hearts.

They've stumbled upon Hymnaios, God of Weddings, the Deity with the power to soul bind two Pae'il.

Without hesitating a moment longer, he pulls the trigger, hitting his targets dead-on. The feathers on the arrows glow gold, and the glow quickly spreads to the whole shaft and then envelopes both Aquos and Celestia. They are surrounded by a glowing light that starts to retreat, fading so that for only a few seconds, a golden thread is seen stretched between the pair, connected to each of them at their heart. And then, the thread slowly fades. The two are now soul bonded -- married.

They still have to save Hymnaios if they are to escape the labyrinth, and there are plenty of items they could use, including his wedding torch and lute which are near him. His bowtie can be seen discarded off in the corner, almost lost among all the rose petals

((You must first find a way to subdue, knock-out, stun or otherwise distract Hymnaios just long enough to put his bowtie on. Choose a logical item, RP your Pae'il trying to use it on Hymnaios, and roll one ten-sided die. The combined total of the couple's dice must be greater than Hymnaios's health ( 7 ). Roll in pairs until you roll a combined 7 or higher. The longer it takes, the longer he has to do harm. Once the bow tie is secured on his neck, Eris' enthrallment ends and Venus can help.))
