Remus knew Severus was about to say Lucius. He woundered if he didn't want Remus by him because he was still jelous of Malfoy or to protect Remus. He decided for himself it must be option two. "Ok I'd like that. Let's just hope my friends can be civil about it."

Severus smiled and walked in silence, keeping his thoughts to himself about Remus's friends. He'd already screwed up once today when they were alone, and he didn't want to upset Remus again. When the giant squid surfaced to soak in some last few sun rays, Severus stopped and knelt to tickle him.

Remus laughed. He had never seen anyone tickle a squid before. He sat down under a tree watching Severus.

Severus smiled and stayed by the lake until the squid went back into the deeper water. Then, he went and sat by Remus quietly, racking his brain for something to talk about.

Remus laid his head on Severus' shoulder when he came over to him. "You know James and Sirius were right. it is nice to get away from my books. The today was nice."

Severus smiled, resting his head on Remus's. "I'm glad you had fun, Remy-love." He kissed Remus's head lightly and sighed happily.

He put his hand on to of Severus and laced their fingers together. "And I really like when you call me that." He kissed Severus' neck softly.

Severus smiled, incredibly happy. The feeling of dread, of not remaining this happy, returned. This time, he voiced his feelings to Remus. "It's not something I can explain, really. It's just a feeling that something's going to happen," he added.

Remus frowned. "Of course something is going to happen. Something always happens to take away my happiness." He barried his face in Severus' neck. "I don't want to lose you though."

"Don't worry, Remy-love. I won't lose you without a fight. I won't let anything take you away from me except the flow of time." Severus stroked Remus's hair softly. "You won't lose me," he assured. He held Remus tightly, enjoying the way it felt to have someone need him and love him, even if that someone was currently upset.

Remus smiled and looked at him. "Good. I'll fight for our relationship too." He was glad to know that even though Severus felt this way he was going to do everything in his power to keep them together.
He looked at the time and frowned abit. "I guess we have to go in now. It's about time for curfew. You'll sit with me at breakfast right?"

Severus nodded. "Of course I'll sit with you. Will you talk to P-... James, Sirius, and... Pettigrew before tomorrow? Let them know what's going on," he asked as he stood and offered a hand to Remus to start inside.

"Of course. I'll make sure they know I invited you to sit with us." He took Severus' hand and walked with him back inside.

Severus smiled, pausing when it came to where they had to part ways. He pulled Remus into a hug and kissed him lightly in goodbye, lingering a few seconds longer. "I... guess I'll see you in the morning."

"Yes you will." He kissed him again before they parted. When he got back to the dorm he made sure to tell his friends that Severus would be eatting with them in the morning before working on the homework he had neglected.
