Rumors and Plants (NightWerewolf here)

Alex nodded and hugged her with one arm. He held her face in his free hand and used a thumb to wipe off her tears. "That is good news."

Eva wiped her tears and laughed when she looked at Alex. "We're both crying." Riley jumped up on Alex's lap and lied down. "Hey sweetie." She smiled at her cat.

Alex smiled and pet Riley gently. "Yeah... this is something we won't soon forget." He sighed and hugged her wigh both arms.

Riley jumped off of his lap and left the room. Eva smiled at her and hugged Alex. Eva looked up and Alex. "You know, I think you're just going to be fine with my brothers tomorrow. Especially, once they find out you saved my life."

"Is that what you told your mother?" He chuckled and rubbed her back gently. "I may have got his attention, but the cop shot him."

She nodded. "Yes, but you the guts to break a bottle of the guys head and pull a gun in front of Frankie's face. You actually got up the courage and tried to do something. If you hadn't distracted him, the cop never would have been able to shot him and I probably would have died. So you did save my life. No matter how you look at it, you did and my family and I owe you for that."

Alex blushed a little. "Well, I wasn't about to lose you. I wouldn't be able to forgive myself. And I wouldn't know what to do with myself anymore." He smiled at her.

She looked up at Alex and smiled. "And I didn't want to lose you. When Frankie was pointing that gun to my head I thought I was never going to see you again. I could never live without you." Her cheeks were beginning to burn.
Great now I'm blushing.

He nodded. "I know just how you feel."

Eva smiled at him. "Are you hungry? Thirsty? Can I get you anything?" She asked him. Riley meowed from the kitchen. "I'll be in there in a minute." Eva called and turned back to Alex.

Alex nodded and let go of her reluctantly. "Do you have any soda?"

Eva walked into the kitchen and put some food in Riley's bowl. She opened the fridge and grabbed two sodas, giving one to Alex. "Here you go." She smiled.

Alex smiled and opened the can. "Thank you." He said and sipped on the soda.

Eva leaned against the counter and slowly began to sip her soda. Something was bugging her. She wanted to do something but she didn't know how he would react.

Alex took another sip and but the can down on the counter next to him. He looked at Eva, she seemed in distress. "Something up?"
