Lucy watched the tryouts keenly, taking notes as she did so and discussing with Gabby. Things were going well, beyond the usual accidental bludgers hits. Once the designated time was over, she blew her whistle to stop the tryouts and gestured for everyone to gather around. After handing out healing potions, she let them rest for a few minutes and stretch their muscles before addressing them all.
”Good job you guys!” she grinned. ”I'm afraid that's it for today, but Gabby and I will have the roster up soon once we finish straightening some things out so be sure to check them out.” With everyone dismissed, Lucy went around gathering the equipment to return to the castle, humming as she did so. She was glad the tryouts went well; they had a good team and despite her confidence, she'd been a little worried, but things had gone smoothly and this year, Lucy was sure they'd do well—better than last year for sure.

Gabby had wanted to get the jump on Zach Whitethorne but the younger boy was hard to get a hold on. She wanted to make him her vice captain. If she had it her way she would have given it to Drew, but with them both being in the same year it made no sense. She needed to look at the team as a whole that meant looking at a younger yet experienced player. That she believed was Zach. He had the drive and she trusted he’d lead the team right once she was gone. Though that wouldn’t be for a number of years. With everything set up, Gabby gave it a once over before doing some stretches. She’d trained all summer so that she could be a better captain. Now was the time to prove it. Chelsea was for sure going to be trying out for the Quidditch team. She knew nothing about it, but she was a natural with this broom stuff. It at least seemed that way when it came to her flying class. The first year girl wanted to pick the coolest most thrill seeking positions. Namely, Seeker and Chaser. Fast paced and just plan fun sounding she couldn’t wait. Bouncing over to the forms, she filled it in.
School broom in hand, Chelsea watched as Griffin came down the field. “You’re trying out too?” He asked her. “Of course,” She answered simply. As if it weren’t obvious. She still wasn’t on the best terms with him and honestly, she didn’t really want to talk to him at all. She realized she couldn’t expect him to stop trying though. Even still she never could seem to get away from him. Not that she even wanted that much.

Griffin walked onto the field and quickly noticed Chelsea. In a way he was surprised to see her there. “You’re trying out too?” He asked her. “Of course,” She answered simply. Sadly, she didn’t appear to want to talk and he accepted that. It was hard. No matter how hard he tried she just didn’t seem to want to talk. Griffin didn’t want to give up and he wanted to make it up to her. Now wasn’t the time though. Grabbing a form, the second year filled it out. He knew the team was in need of another keeper. As such he put himself down for that along with seeker… which he didn’t care if he got. Seeker always had larger competition. At least he could be some help if only a little.

London marched onto the pitch, a bright grin on his face. He was ready to play, and he even had a shiny new broom to prove it. He got his own bat, since his mum had nearly had a stroke when she discovered hers missing the year prior. It didn't matter to him, he was just excited. This year, he had a very real chance to make the team, since one of the other beaters didn't seem to be here. Then again, he could just be running late. He fluffed his curls, then filled out his application paperwork. It wouldn't do to forget something so vital.

Myron was particularly excited for Quidditch this year because he had a decent chance of making first string keeper, now that Lucy had graduated and the position was open. Besides, he'd like to spend his last two years on first string, if possible. Cady doubted she was making first string chaser this year, but oh well, you never knew. Maybe Gabby would shake things up a little. Unlikely though, since Cady figured there was a decent chance she was naming Zach VC, in which case he kind of had to be on first string. Not that she wanted the position- no way Jose, Cady was perfectly fine being a slacker reserve. Reserve was nice, in that there was very little pressure since 9/10 times, she sat in the stands with everyone else watching the game. Even if it kind of sucked to attend long practices, knowing you had little chance of actually playing on a game day. She grabbed a form to fill out.

Drew was playfully ruffling her brother's hair as they made their way to the pitch, much to the latter's disapproval. She was excited to work with Gabby, especially if it's her first time as the captain. Drew wanted to wonder who will be the Vice, though she guessed that it was most likely to be Zach; her... nephew? Cousin? Whatever. Speaking of Zach, Drew wondered where that goth kid had gone to, probably trying to get a dramatic entrance, that's for sure. "How're you feeling?"
