humph! *rubs his eye* Even so, it would not hurt to be a little courteous now and then.

*thinks for a moment about that statement and what he was referring to*
Gi ussta! Actually, I suppose it would hurt sweatdrop *giggles a little then winces, his eye feeling a sudden sharp pain. The fact he had not put his glasses back on yet did not help either.*

Amy was gazing at Thistle under the couch. Finally, she just sighed tiredly and started mumbling to the pony, almost inaudibly.

*notices Ryzan wincing while he takes a sip of his drink* ... xsa... stare *sets his glass down and walks over to Ryzan, guiding him to a stool and having him sit down. He holds his right hand up above Ryzan's brow to shield him from the overhead lights while his left hand takes Ryzan's off his eye*
Let me have a look at it...

*At first Ryzan is hesitant to allow his hand to be removed, but after a moment his muscles relax and Tes is able to easily pull his hand away. He bends down and looks at Ryzan's eye. It appears just a little bloodshot and has started to water, but other than that it seemed normal. He takes out a handkerchief and gently dabs it under Ryzan's eye*
You're fine. Rubbing it more will probably just cause it to become more irritated... *realizes that's just what he was doing earlier when he went through the scanner* stressed

Amy was slowly drifting to sleep on the floor by the couch. She had stopped mumbling to Thistle, but she had reached her hand under the couch. She wasn't touching her, but she had simply rested her hand on the floor next to her.

Thistle carefully sniffed Amy's hand next to her. When she did so, the hand didn't move, didn't even flinch. She looked at the girl who was lying on the floor by the couch and saw that her eyes were closed. She must be asleep...

Thistle finally sighed and just rested her head on Amy's hand lightly. It was slightly warm, warmer than anything else under the couch near her.

Amy was daydreaming as she was slowly drifting to sleep. She didn't always physically see anything in her dreams, but oddly enough, sometimes there was music playing in them. Tonight, "Tiny Dancer" by Tim McGraw was playing in her dreams. A small smile appeared on her face. This was one of her favorite songs. In fact, this song seemed louder and clearer in her dream tonight. It was almost like the music was surrounding her...

In the bar, the lights on the jukebox suddenly lit up and "Tiny Dancer" by Tim McGraw started to softly play out of the speakers.

{{Song is country, just forewarning people. I love country. I like all music except rap.}}

*sighs and frowns*
It mzilst certainly does not -feel- fine. I do not think they had the sensitivities of our kind in mind when they invented such a device.

*lifts his hand up to rub his eye on impulse, but remembers what Tes said and resists the urge*
I know jabbress is concerned about the safety of her establishment and its patrons, jhal is all of this really necessary? This establishment has been without any major incident for some time now, and even in circumstances where damage was done, it was all up here, not downstairs. If anything, I would think the new "scanning" devices, as they seem to be called, would... as they say, "tip off" a patron, would-be vandal, or assailant to the fact that there is indeed an area underground that can be accessed with enough cunning and vigor.

*glances over at the office and sighs*
What once would have been looked upon as nothing jhal a humble bookcase is now an obvious passage to mzilt mzilt more valuable findings than what can be acquired here in the main area.

*as he goes to slip on his glasses, he's startled by the sudden sound of music and drops them*
Gi ussta!

{{I've got my speakers off, but I know how the original sounds at least.}}

*before he can really respond to all of what Ryzan said, he hears the jukebox come on and raises an eyebrow. He looks back over at the couch and sees Amy still on the floor, then glances around the bar and sees no one else there*
.... weird....

{{I love Tim McGraw's voice in this version and the added twang in the song. It sucks that it's so late that you can't use the awesome speakers on your spouse's computer.}}
PostPosted: Fri Apr 23, 2010 12:50 am

{{Awesome speakers on the spouse's computer are reserved for awesome music... and whatever the spouse happens to be doing on their own computer. That being said, I probably wouldn't be playing that song on them. Spouse is working from home today anyway and is thus using their computer right now.

Also, due to having sat through a few lectures while taking choir around the subject of proper enunciation and open vowels [probably also why I didn't develop a "Texan" accent], twang in songs often makes me cringe.}}

{{...then you wouldn't like this song, I don't think. lol. And are you saying that this song, any version of it, wouldn't be awesome enough to play on those speakers? Because that is just sooooo wrong if that's what you're saying. lol.}}
PostPosted: Fri Apr 23, 2010 1:06 am

{{Yes, that is what I'm saying. My taste in music is different from yours, obviously... but there are other reasons as well. The spouse's speakers are best utilized for things such as drum and bass [example] as far as music is concerned due to the subwoofer. Though all sounds do have an increase in quality, bass is most especially brought out. Country is not a type of music that is heavy on bass [from my experience at least] and thus would not really have much added to it by being played on those speakers as opposed to normal computer speakers.}}

{{Maaan... it's past 3 AM... I need to go to bed. I start my job training in 4 days. 4 days to get my hours switched around for 4 days of training. Ugh. lol. See ya tomorrow!}}

*picks his glasses up off the floor and slips them back on, cautiously walking over to the device the music seemed to be coming from. The song had not gone on much longer by the time he had finished composing himself and making his way over to the device. He inspected it curiously, careful not to touch anything since he did not know what it would do*
Quortek~ Is it normal for these contraptions to play music suddenly like this had?

Not really, Ry. *picks up his roy rogers and takes a drink* People here hardly even use that thing most of the time.

*looks back over at Amy*
Oi! Go sleep on the floor at your own place.

*walks over and pokes her with the toe of his shoe*
PostPosted: Fri Apr 23, 2010 3:15 am

*watches Tes poke Amethyst a few times and sees she's not responding*
Gi ussta~ It is bad enough when patrons fall asleep at the tables and on the couches, jhal sleeping on the floor is mzilt mzilt worse sweatdrop I wonder why she had decided to lay here to begin with.

*sits down on the couch and looks down at Amethyst*
How unfortunate that we do not even know where she lives to take her home.
