It was a very different request. The coloring scheme for her was black skin and glowing neon green hair. I wanted the helm to help give her an otherworldly quality and it was a pain to get it facing in the same direction as her which I did fail at and had to fix it (which the above was the product of). It was much easier to make her face angle more to the side than try and adjust the helm which was hard enough to draw the first time.
I used to specialize in drawing monsters way back when I was still in school and when I was heavily into reading Spawn comics. It seems like some of the programming is still there.
