By this time, Pete had reached midfield, so a pass from Allister would set him up to race down the field and face the keeper 1 on 1.

She got to the goal posts, got hit by a bludger, and now, the quaffle she had possession of was nowhere in her grasp. Impressive, she thought; however, she wasn't going to let them off this easily. The blonde turned around and headed down the pitch.

His spirit was low, bludgeoned twice in a row, he wondered how that could have even been possible. His first year, he'd managed to knock at least two hits his first game, and not to himself.

He lingered, trying to catch his breath as he sought out another bludger, preferably not the same specific one that had slammed into him. But, just as headstrong and bold as when he first flew out onto the field. Swinging his arm back, he slammed his bat forward, aiming one straight to Peter.

Jasmine sighed as the quaffle was stolen from Eretria. That meant that the new chasers would be coming for her soon. Of course, they did have less experience than her, but that didn't mean that the sixth year would fall into foolish arrogance. That was how goals were made. The moment you held yourself to be higher than your opponent, was the moment that your opponent scored on you.

She would be ready. She did have faith in the chasers on her team, but just in case they couldn't steal back the quaffle, Jasmine knew that she had to be ready. That was one of the things her father had told her over the summer when he gave her some pointers. Perhaps part of the team's issue last year was feeling as though they did not have to work in order to win. Even Jasmine's father, who made a living off Quidditch had to work in order to win.

There! A flicker of gold sparkled just along the inside of the stands, soaring just inches from the grassy field below. Belle plummeted down several feet to be in tow with the snitch, narrowing her person as much as she could, she lied completely against her broom, fingers clutched to the handle and eyes tearing up from the sheer speed of wind.

She inched closer and closer to the edge of her broom, creeping closer until she could finally reach out and swipe her hand forward.
