"Of course I didn't." Eduard replied, his smile softening even more. But then he started laughing, dark eyes fixed on Peter's stirring finger. It was amusing... watching the actor drink tea in such a manner. "Forgive me. Your finger is rather distracting." the Marquess spoke, a sincere and yet amused smile on his face.

P e t e r - W i n t e r sPeter glanced down at his finger, realizing what he was doing. He jumped and blushed deeply. "S-sorry!" His serenity had been lost and replaced by a more clumsy, self conscious Peter. He wiped his finger off on a napkin and leaned back in his chair, his hands clasped together tightly on his lap. It was a while before he could speak. "T-Then there y-you have it..." He attempted to respond to Eduard's earlier statement, though his self conscious state of mind still carried over from his improper tea drinking. He reprimanded himself for letting loose so much in front of Eduard. Peter usually did that when he was by himself, thinking deeply on something. It was a testament to how much he actually felt at home with Eduard—whether he realized it or not.L a d y - R o s a l i n e

But Eduard shook his head, "It was kind of cute." he replied with a smile. "I had this image of you in my mind... of you studying a script while doing that." the Marquess shrugged, standing with the tea pot in his hands. "I'll get us some hot tea." He smiled, heading inside.

P e t e r - W i n t e r sPeter blushed even deeper, debating whether or not to follow. He finally resigned to his seat, waiting for Eduard to return. But then an idea struck him and he ran back to his room, getting the quill and parchment that he knew was there. He ran back with record time and sat in his chair excitedly and started penning a letter to none other than his mother. Besides some famous florists in all of England, there probably was no one who loved and knew about flowers more than Lucia Winters. Peter would guarantee that Black Baccara Rose for Eduard some way or another.L a d y - R o s a l i n e

"Mi'lord, may I ask why you are making tea yourself?" Eduard smiled, looking back over his shoulder at Sebastian as he carefully poured hot water over a mixture of rosehip and tea leaves. "Because the other tea had gone cold, obviously." The butler sighed, "This is something I should be doing, Sir." But the Marquess shook his head. "No... I should do it right now." he spoke, his voice a soft whisper before carefully holding the warm teapot and headed back to the garden. "Here, nice and warm." Eduard smiled, placing the teapot back on the table and sitting across from Peter again. He took the liberty to fill both of their cups before raising an eyebrow at the parchment and quill. "Can I ask what holds your interest now?" he asked, keeping the smile.

P e t e r - W i n t e r sPeter was startled by Eduard's quiet entrance, and he jumped, dropping his quill. He picked it up hastily and hid the letter also. He blushed, averting his eyes. "I-It's a secret..." He wanted it to be a surprise for Eduard, and letting him know even the slightest detail would lead him in the general direction of the surprise. He knew that Eduard was astute enough to figure it out, given enough time, but he didn't want to help the process. Peter rolled up the parchment and placed it beside the inkwell, picking up his cup of tea. He took an audible whiff of the sweet aroma before sipping it. He sighed, visibly relaxed from the tea, feeling the warmth seep through him. It tasted a little different than the Rosehip tea that he had drunk before, even if not by much. And it also wasn't a bad change. Peter actually liked it a little more. "Eduard... Did you, perhaps, make this batch yourself?"((Did our PM die...?)) L a d y - R o s a l i n e

The Marquess had been about to inquire why he couldn't know... but Peter's relaxed expression and the calm serene way that the young actor held himself now... It drove any thoughts of a question from his mind. "I did. Though, Sebastian was hardly happy about it. He thinks he has to do everything for me." Eduard replied with a soft smile. He leaned back in the chair, closing his eyes in bliss. The sun was warm and it felt wonderful to be outside, even given their earlier catastrophic conversation.

P e t e r - W i n t e r sPeter sipped his tea silently, eventually chuckling very softly. He realized that this was another mark of Eduard's dislike that everyone did everything for him. He had an idea, and to him, it would be a fun experience, but Eduard probably wasn't up to it. "Next week... my family will all be getting together for our annual fall celebration, myself included, if you permit it to be so." His voice was soft and tentative, not sure exactly how to approach the matter. "My parents would love you... And you're welcome to come... No one knows your face out in my world." He was once again talking like there was this large, unassailable gap between him and Eduard. "And with your acting skills, you could easily pass off as a friend of mine from the theatre..." He smiled wryly, already set on the fact that Eduard wasn't going to accept. He was just waiting for verbal confirmation.((I don't know what happened! We had a good conversation going on too! I got to get down to my Macbeth essay then head to bed, but if it doesn't show by tomorrow, I'll send another one!)) L a d y - R o s a l i n e

Eduard smiled, his eyes still closed. "Why would I not permit you?" he asked before sitting up fully once again and focusing his gaze on the young actor. His eyes were dark, but there was amusement there, and a warm look that matched his smile. "You want me to meet the people you care most about in the world, Peter. Of course... I would be honored to accompany you."
(((Hai! It sent from my end... which is just weird. Let me double check... *looks* Wait... it says I have a PM from you that I haven't replied to... *looks at it* I never got a Gaia notification about it... *blink* Nope, I hadn't read it yet either, even though Gaia SAID I'd read it. *sigh* Sent back though!)))

P e t e r - W i n t e r sThe affect of Eduard's words were immediate. Peter's smile widened and he looked completely happy. "Really?" It was easy to tell that he hadn't expected this answer. But he was actually so overcome by it and happy that he stood up and crossed the little distance there was between him and Eduard. He leaned down and hugged Eduard, gently but firmly. He had seemed to have forgotten about their whole conversation just a couple minutes ago about Eduard and his playboy ways. Otherwise, he probably wouldn't be hugging Eduard. "I didn't think that you would even consider coming."((That happened to me twice already...)) L a d y - R o s a l i n e

"Why not?" Eduard asked in surprise, hugging Peter back until the actor was ready to let him go. He honestly didn't mind... And seeing Peter so happy about his reply... "It would give me the chance to see your life. You've seen mine and how ghastly it is," he teased. "I think your world would literally be a breath of fresh air for me."

P e t e r - W i n t e r sPeter let go, blushing. He retreated back to his chair and sat in silence for a while, still not quite used to Eduard's teasing. "I... I don't know... You're a noble... and nobles usually aren't interested in the lives of... commoners..." He smiled sheepishly, running a hand through his brown hair nervously. "Life in the working class isn't really what one would call 'a day in the park.'" Even though he was happy that Eduard had wanted to come, he had to make sure that Eduard knew what he was getting into, even if there was barely any doubt of that, since Eduard was surely an educated man, especially in matters of society.L a d y - R o s a l i n e

Smiling softly, the Marquess nodded. "I know that, Peter. But the change of pace will be good for me. In fact, it is my own opinion that nobles should know how those under their stations live." he picked up his tea cup, sipping the hot beverage. "It would certainly make many of us less snobbish, after all."

P e t e r - W i n t e r sPeter sat there quietly, occasionally drinking his tea. He was contemplating Eduard's words. Eventually, a small smile manifested on his expression and he laughed. "You really are an odd noble, I can give you that." He was sure that if more nobles were like Eduard, the perception of aristocrats would surely change. Too bad that the majority of them were like William Rutherford.L a d y - R o s a l i n e

The Marquess smiled slightly and shrugged, "I've had a few experiences outside that of a normal noble." he spoke, sipping his tea and focusing his dark gaze on the garden stretched before them. "Both in love and in life... so I suppose that this existence of mine isn't really everything to me, like it would be to someone like Rutherford." Odd how that was the same name that popped into both Eduard and Peter's minds...
