Morning everyone.

Not feeling very cheerful today. I've already have several residents (or their family members) take out their frustrations out on me because of the notice of rent price increases for next year with the rent statement I gave them. Like... sorry? I know timing is perfect but I'm just trying to give out the mail and paperwork I have for residents to them as I see y'all.

Just not something I wanted to deal with for today when I'm already having to work a full shift rather than have holidays hours. (Thanks COVID...)

I'm just on the verge of wanting to cry. Ugh.

Really annoying for people to take their frustrations out on me when I'm just the messenger. Like... what do you want me to do? I can't make it so rents don't go up. I'm not in charge of that. And if I delay on handing out the rent statements about the increased rent, that will be less days for people to adjust their rent payments for the new price. So... like... Seriously?! stressed

*sighs* I really don't want to be here right now...

stressed There's so many noises going on right now. Between the TV in the living room, resident listening to music on their phone, residents talking, the heater humming by me... Ugh! Hard to concentrate on anything or be able to hear anyone because of it.

Especially since my left ear feels like it's trying to plug up again. whee

Just 2 1/2 hours left until I get off work. whee

My mood has improved a little bit from earlier... but still a bit worn out from the whole emotional rollercoaster.

Still sucks that I didn't get to have a shorter work day today. *sighs* I was looking forward to it but due to current COVID-related set-ups and resident families coming to visit, we figured it would be better for the receptionist to stay for the full day.

I mean... I guess I am getting a couple more hours than I would normally get, which means more money. But... not being able to finally enjoy the holidays for once... just sucks.

Sidenote: I actually want to get some garland and mini lights, so I can do a Christmas look for my Lucille and replicate that Christmas Negan moment there, lol.
