Yesterday was rough for me. I was informed by my co-worker via our receptionist notes that my co-worker (who I'm quite close with) is no longer working for us, that her "employment was terminated immediately." Not really sure what happened to warrant such a sudden change like that. I texted a comment to them when I got home from work on how weird it was to see the activities office empty without her paintings up... and all she replied was "Sorry I wasn't there to have lunch with you" and encouraged me to apply for the now open position. Like... yes... thank you for the sentiments... but... I was hoping for more of a discussion of what all happened. Especially since all of my other co-workers wouldn't even enlighten me on anything; probably would have if I directly asked but I didn't want to be so bold on the matter. Like... guys, come on... you know how close I was with her.

And then I had a resident get upset with me when she asked for me to get her a ride for an appointment for Monday and I informed her I would see what I do but couldn't guarantee anything with it being so last minute. I don't know if she misinterpreted it as me saying I wouldn't do it... or what. Whatever it may have been, it triggered me to break down crying.

Anyway... I am considering applying for that position now that it's open. I've been interested in shifting my focus over into the activities field for awhile now but there's never been an assistant position available since I've worked here.

Perhaps this unfortunate departure by my co-worker is the open door to a new opportunity that's been destined for me to turn to. *shrugs*

I've been enjoying seeing the latest photos of Jefferey lately especially since they've all been taking place at Mischief Farm and/or in his car. Definitely adds a different level of charm to the photos when you see him in his element, a place where he can feel at ease.
