Good afternoon everyone.

Taking a little breather after feeling like I'm been on the go, go, go since I first clocked on. Between grabbing temperatures (which is a task that's been switched back to me again), sorting through resident mail, and handing out letters to residents regarding our new visitor patio being built (it looks pretty nice so far)… not to mention my usual Saturday tasks.

Don't mind me. Just going to write down random tidbits here.

"We really are lucky to have you here," said Deadman, smiling at her. "Not that we have two of you, things will go so much better."
"Two?" she echoed.
"Two Porters."
"I may help with delivering items from place to place but I am no Porter."
"Oh," replied Deadman, shifting his weight. "Well... still... two heads better than one."
She was saved from having to make a response when she heard the far door open and footsteps of someone entering the room. Deadman's smile widened upon seeing the new occupant.
"Sam!" exclaimed Deadman, walking over towards them. "How lovely for you to finally join us."
"This better be worth my time."
Curiosity peaked by the husky voice, she turned to look at who had spoken. The corner of her mouth lifted slightly in approval at who she saw standing before her.
"Sam, let me introduce you to Diana... uh..." said Deadman, gesturing towards her before turning back to her in confusion on what surname she was using.
"Just Diana is fine," she replied.
"And this is Sam," said Deadman, regaining his cheerfulness once again.
"So I've gathered," said Diana, looking Sam up and down some more before their eyes locked for a moment. She shifted her head slightly in confusion as she felt a strange electric sensation pass through her body.
"You brought me here for a reason?" said Sam, tearing his gaze away from her and back to Deadman.
"Right. So, I have a job for you. Both of you really. There are some supplies that need to be delivered to __________ just northwest of here."
"Why both of us?" asked Diana, finally interrupting her observation of Sam as he shifted his weight and crossed his arms. She was briefly distracted by the skull head tattoo she spotted on his right hand.
"There was more supplies ready to go than expected. Too much for one person to carry. And since you are both looking for work, I figured it would be better to have both of you take it at once rather than having one person make two separate trips."
"I would think cities would be used to having delays with deliveries," said Diana.
"I take it these supplies are more special than your typical delivery," added Sam.
"Precisely!" responded Deadman, nodding his head. "That's why I am entrusting it to the two of you. Our top employees."

Diana stood in the entryway looking around Sam's private room. The edges of her mouth quirked upwards for a moment seeing that it wasn't much different from hers. Same sterile white walls with no personal touch. Not to be unexpected for someone who was constantly moving from place to place. Her attention was drawn to one wall when a cooing sound came from it and she saw the BB shifting in its pod as if getting a better look at her.

"It's not too often I see one of theses around," commented Diana under her breath, stepping over and leaning down to gaze at it.

The baby looked up at her with wide blue eyes and pushed a hand against the glass. She lifted a couple of fingers and placed them on the opposite side. Suddenly, she felt a presence draw near her that surprised her by the close proximity.



"He seems to like you," said Sam, after watching the two of them interact.
"You think?" asked Diana, turning her head and found herself locking eyes with Sam again.
"Mmm," replied Sam, slightly shaking his head in acknowledgement.

A wild baby Daryl appears!

I've been watching a Twitch streamer play Death Stranding, so my mind has been in that world for the past few days now. I was intrigued by the game, especially since Norman stars in it. It's absolutely gorgeous. And after watching someone play it from the very start, it looks quite entertaining; enough that I want to play it myself at some point.
