While reading a text book, Hailey heard maniacal laughter and looked up to see someone running by while throwing a handful of candy into her compartment. The only thing she could think through her surprise was 'what in the world was that?'

"I'm a second year," Crystal smiles, "but you might say I'm cursed. It's not my second term, but more like my twelfth! I kept missing too much school, almost every term, something bad would happen at home and I'd be withdrawn. It took a while just to make it to second year." She holds out the pile of licorice wands. "You can have them if you want. James is too fond of pranks; as I seem to recall, the last time he gave out candy everyone started turning into animals. I'm not trusting this candy."

((Basically I started lots of terms and only finished one - maybe two, I lost count - due to many leaves of absence mid-term.))
