*not really sure what this strange object Amethyst held out to him was, hearing she had saved it for him combined with her expression made him feel that now would not be the time to question it. He accepts the object graciously and smiles*

Amy shrugs. "Well, I can't force him to give me the egg if he finds one. I'm sure he'd know who was best to have it. I just know what I'm capable of and that I know I could take really good care of any creature I was given, including a dragon. And... I'm living alone and it'd be really nice to have someone else there with me. I'd be able to give the animal all my attention."
Amy gestured to Tes. "I mean hell, if he can take care of a grunny, I can most certainly take care of a dragon or any other creature very well."
Amy noticed Karrie yawn. "Maybe you should go home and get some rest, Karrie. Do you want me to call you a cab so you get home safely?"

damecharlie -smiles then feels the hairs on the back of her neck p***k, like something is staring at her. confused Curious, she turns her head to find the source of it and sees Tes staring at her- Uh...Tes? What the hell are you staring at? -tries to look on her back to see if there is anything on her-

*He slams back the rest of his scotch, then places the glass on the bar behind him. He again looks to Psyzapp and starts to grin, but he reaches up to cover his mouth as a yawn takes over. He looks at his watch and notes how late it is. Another yawn creeps up on him. He removes his glasses to rub his eyes a bit, then puts them back on again.*

Is everything alright? Amy turned to Ryzan and shrugged. She tried to smile but it only came off as a sad one. "It's really silly. If I tell you this, please don't tell Tes. He'd just laugh at me." She dropped her voice to a whisper and said, "I'm just... I'm watching everyone leave this party and they all have someone with them. Well, most of them do. And I'm not saying I want a romantic relationship, but it'd be nice to have a pet or even a friend around here that I could bring home every once in awhile, watch a movie with, or just hang out. This is the first time I've been home in years, and it's just so.... lonely."

*She goes over to Officer Dougherty and kisses him.* I think things are starting to wind down. I'm going to head downstairs. *She gets very close to him and speaks softly.* This bunny tail will be waiting for you in your bed. wink *She kisses him again and lingers very near him as she runs her finger slowly across his mustache. She then take her leave and as she goes into her office she stops.* Goodnight everyone. You can stay as long as you like and thank you for coming! xd

Gi ussta~ That feeling is one I am quite familiar with, Amethyst sweatdrop *swirls his brandy around for a moment*
While having a pet may do some to ease your loneliness, it by no means guarantees it will be completely gotten rid of. In some ways, it may even make the situation worse depending on your frame of mind. While on the one hand you acquire some form of companionship with an animal to take care of, if it is personal interation in the form of conversation that you seek, when your pet fails to fulfill this need it will only serve as a reminder to how alone you really are.

She glared over at Tes and said lowly. "Ok, I know you know I am a woman, and I would prefer not to let everyone in the bar know how you know. I may be young, as everyone keeps pointing out, and you may not be interested in women, but I... am... a woman, dammit!"

rolleyes They are not underwear, Tes. I would not go running around in just my underwear. Regardless of whether they were "boyshort" cut or not. They are just really short shorts. "Outerwear" as you so coined them. -just out of meanness, turns back around and shimmies a second before facing him again, laughing- rofl
