SilverMaple "Yes he does, little glutton," Ducan said.
He took a small slice and put it in Lance's bowl. The dog barked happily and bounded for the quiche, gulping it down.
"Now that he's happy, let's start eating undisturbed," Ducan grinned.
He cut a small piece of the love quiche and ate it. He let his eyes close for a moment before he swallowed.
"Mmh... That's delicious! You truly are a wonderful cook," he smiled at Faye, "You should become my hired chef." "Hm...I don't know I'm pretty expensive." smiled Faye. He took two bites out of his slice and looked around the humungo kitchen.
Everything was very clean, which was a suprise to Faye whos kitchen always had some type of mess:
"But from the looks of it your kitchen is sort of lifeless."the shy baker quickly put his hands over his mouth. Through them he apologized:
"I'm sorry! I shouldn't of said that!" he blushed.

The bird continued to peck adnd chirp at the window wanting to get in as well as occasionally scratching at the window.

Ducan gave a gentle smile. "It's OK. I agree, it does seem pretty dull."
He walked to the kitchen, hands on his hips, giving it an intense look-around. "It might need a bit of redecorating. How about helping me with that?" Ducan's eye got a malicious glint in it.
He leant into Faye, about to kiss, when an incessant tapping noise reached his ears. He turned around to see a tiny bird pecking at the windowpane.
"What the...?"
Ducan approached the window as the bird continued its frantic chirping. He opened it a slight bit and it happily hopped inside the warm house.
"What do we have here?"
Lance bounded forward, barking at the new arrival. The bird chirped in fright and zoomed up on Ducan's shoulder.
"Hey, there! Lance! Stop it!"

"Here, Lance, here boy!" Faye called. Lance looked at him then the bird then back at the now standing baker, then rushed over.
Faye gently gripped Lance's collar, petting his ears: "Such a good boy!" he cooed. "That birdie isn't bad, see?"
He looked over at the pretty bird hiding on Ducan's shoulder: "Aww, he's so cute!"

Ducan lifted his finger and the bird affectionately nipped it.
"I wonder where he came from," he said, "I doubt birds usually tap on people's windows for shelter."
He smiled at Faye holding Lance. "You have a way with animals. He usually doesn't listen to anyone but me." He then gave a smirk. "It's probably because I told him that you and I are close, so he is being nice to you."

The bird chirped a little more and flew around the room looking for something to eat, eventually his small collar fell off that said Cameil and on the other side of the tag it said that he belonged to Damian Hagarashi and had the address and phone number.

"Oh he's got a tag." Faye pointed. "Ducan, he's someone's pet. Maybe your window looks similar to his owner's...or something."
Lance barked loudly: "I think Lance agrees." He stroked the dog fur gently before making his way over to the fallen tag: "Damain Haragashi. Damian..Damian....The only Damian I know is Cress's Damian. We should call, dont you think?"

Ducan picked up the tag and looked at it.
"Alright, we should call," he said.
He picked up his phone and dialled the number listed on the little tag.
"I hope he's home," he said as the phone rang.

Faye lent in to speak: "Hi, Damian. My name is Faye and my friend Ducan and I found your bird. He came to Ducan's window and we found his tag. I think you might have banged my friend Cress so you can come see me at Northern flavors or call Ducan's house whenever you get back..." he ot quiet so Ducan can talk.

Damian's flight was delayed so he ended up having to go back home, "man could this day get any worse?" Damian said as he sat down in his chair, he heard the message machine and answered it.

Dharshia sat in his little corner, sipping a coffee and re-reading his sister's poetry. It was going to the publisher's in a matter of hours and she wanted it to be perfect.
The coffee shop was nearly empty, except for maybe one or two workers that lingered in the back cleaning up. Dharshia couldn't care less about the mess, as long as it didn't affect the quality of the cooking. He looked around once more and then returned to his work.
