"Well let me know when you finish it. If I'm still alive then I'd love to see it," Botan said with a smile.  

[Alrightey]

His statement didn't make her smile, in fact she looked of at him with a look of hurt and stood. Walking back over to her painting and folded her arms over her chest slightly.

Botan wrapped his arms around Ayame's waist and nuzzled her neck with his face. "You know I was only joking right," he whispered.  

[Alrightey]

"Well don't...it's not very funny..."  

[TheFobiddenOne]

Botan was still holding her from behind and kissed her neck softly. "Sorry," he whispered.  

[Alrightey]

She placed her hands onto top of his. "You should be."  

[TheFobiddenOne]

Botan sighed and rested his head against the back of hers. "It's just...when you come within inches of dying nearly everyday...the fear of death starts to leave you."  

[Alrightey]

"The prospect of death may not scare you, but it does me...I don't want to lose anyone ever again..." She looked down at the floor.  

[TheFobiddenOne]

"Who did you lose?" Botan asked softly resting his chin on Ayame's shoulder.  

[Alrightey]

"My family..." She still wasn't sure exactly how they died. All she knew is one morning she woke and there was no more family.  

[TheFobiddenOne]

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that," Botan whispered. "I would say I could understand how bad it must be for you...but to be honest I wouldn't mind at all if anything happened to my family."  

[Alrightey]

"Don't worry about it Botan, there's nothing any one can do now...."  

[TheFobiddenOne]

"Still, I am sorry Ayame," Botan said meaning every word and hugging her closer to him to show that he meant it.  

[Alrightey]

"I know..." She would reach her hand behind her head and pulled his head forward a bit and placed a kiss on his cheek.
