I'm the only hardcore yaoi person in my group of friends. Then again, a couple of girls--whom I'm really close to--are "DON'T CUSS!! NO SEX!!! DON'T EVER MENTION THAT AGAIN!!!!" kinda people. Yaoi isn't their style. Hell, even manga with a brief mention of straight sex aren't their style. They always say, "There was no need for that in the manga. It would've been perfectly fine without it." While I'm sitting there like, "Get over it." My best friend will read my yaoi, but she doesn't get as turned on as I do. lmao.
There are no hardcore yaoi-lovers where I live. IT DEPRESSES ME!!!

My study partner was trying to act all sneaky about reading it that's how I found out about it:
Me stare "Whatcha reading?"
SP: >.> "Nevermind did you finish your section?"
Me "Yeah..... What the hell are you reading your cheeks are red?"
SP: sweatdrop "Really it's nothing!"
.:Snatches the pages and begins reading:.
....
Me eek "This is F----ng sweet hold on I got to show this to Ash be right back!"
SP: eek "No, no don't do that"
3 weeks later 2 three inch binders and a school hard drive later...
SP: "I can't believe you're going to do this"
Me "Why not?" . razz assing the folder to another kid in class to read:. "This is awesome stuff... OMG do you think they have it in manga???"

i have 3 friends... er...minus me, that are into yaoi really really obsessively... ^__^ my bf isn't bothered by it, and my other frineds are creeped out with my fascination, but they don't tease me, besides... they coudn't if they wanted to... though they do say things like, "you know you want mitch to have sex with your boyfriend"
mitch is a friend of mine... sure he's attractive asian and it's an appealing thought of them two together... but i wouldn't allow it... ^__^

hmmm... well i've actually converted 4 of my friends, but some just found out by themselves (like me!!). and two of them along with me, are definate hardcore yaoi fans!! yaoi! at school we talk about yaoi, and some other of our friends (they dont know what shounen ai/yaoi is) are like huh?? wah? yup! yaoi is definately the best in the world. ^_^

I'd have to say--out of al my friends--only one truly loves yaoi as much as I do lol The others don't know about it I think ninja One of my guy friends enjoys looking at every drawing I did,but whenever he finds a yaoi picture he does a weird face but still manages to say "woa!..but urg...but woa!!" xd

only 3...two girls and a guy. one of his friends wanted to borrow my yaoi manga and he read it before his friend got it and he actually liked it. ^^ now i know i'm not alone

Within my group of friends, we either all love Yaoi or we don't mind it but I'm the one who definately loves it a whole lot. Though when you let it slip to your more aquantiance like friends they usual spaz, but I don't see what wrong with Yaoi so I suppose I won't understand it from their p.o.v.
