Have you ever been caught?

I haven't been caught yet................well I might have been I don't know..........I had a couple scanlations on my laptop and when I was asleep one morning my dad came in to put the stuff that was on my hard drive on to disks because my hard drive was full and I think he may have seen something....................I got really annoyed when I found out what he had done, so I deleted his log-in & put a password on.

If ever the day comes when I do get caught I'm going to say 'Dad your the one who intoduced me to it' or 'What I read is none of your buisness and please stay out of my books/privite folders.

My dad was the one who intoduced me to manga and anime even yaoi, but I don't think he know's what yaoi is, well how graphic it can be mrgreen

Example one:
I was sitting at the computer, and had four of my yaoi mangas lying on the table because I had been reading them the night before. All of the sudden, I hear, "Desire??" My eyes fly open, and I look into the living room, where both my mom and step dad are holding one of my books. My mom replies, "Yeah. And what creeps me out is the fact that there are two guys on the front..."

I dramatically leap out of the chair and onto my step-dad, where I grab the books from them. "Emily," She begins. "Are you reading gay porn...?" In a panic, I say, "NO. WTF WOULD GIVE YOU THAT IDEA???" And scurry off to my room. Smooth, I know. Good thing they're not smart enough to notice my twitchy-ness over those books. >.>

Example two:
I'm in bed, half asleep, when I suddenly hear, "OMFG. Are those two guys??" I'm too tired to really care, but when she tells me to come in there, I get up with a grumble. "Emily, are those two guys??" I forgot that I left a Gravi picture up on my MSN the night before. "No, mom. The pink-haired one's a girl." Surely she'd fall for that. ".....You sure? It looks like a guy..." Almost there. "I'm sure, mom. You think I'd look at stuff like that?" And then she dropped it, and let me go back to bed. Whoo.

Example three:
I'm washing dishes, and I ask my mom if I can go to a convention, alone, with my friend in May. She tells me no, that she would have to come with us. I say, "Aw, c'mon! It's not like it's a gay-p0rn convention...-grumbles-"

"Yes, wel--hey, how do you know they have those??"
This is where I try to ease her into the idea of yaoi.
"It's called yaoi ^^"
"Yay-oi...? -says it wrong-"
"Uh, yeah. It's like...the anime version of gay porn."
".....How do you know this??"
"Uhhh..." I can't really think of what to say here, and I'm sure the smile on my face didn't help any. "My...my friends. They like it....and they feel the need to tell me about it >.>"
"...Oh...."

"You don't actually look at that stuff, do you?"
"Of course not >>"

But she's bought me a bunch of yaoi books (including my grandmother) without noticing. I seriously bought she'd care, but I'd rather not expose it just yet >.>

My sister came close. She saw a fanart I was making and was like "ARE THOSE TWO GUYS?" and I was like "Haha no! That one ::points at shorter one:: is a girl."

I don't think she would care either way, it's just she has a loud mouth and would probably tell my mom and dad. It's dad I'm worrying about. It's one thing to know you're weird, it's another to be told that.

I've got my drawing that I did of Ashton and Dias up on the wall of my dorm room. Last week, my mom and dad and younger brother came up to deliver some stuff. Later, my mom asks, concerning the art I use to decorate my walls:

"So what's with the two guys in bed?"

My response: "Meh, I just like Dias with Ashton. That's all." And I shrug it off because it's no big deal, is it?

Her response: "Oh, okay then." And the subject is resolved. No big deal.

My mom and stepdad...hell, a lot of people in my family are homophobes. My mom hasn't really 'caught' me, but she saw me flipping through my Kurama yaoi and she was like' aww, cute' when a chibi one popped up...for the fact that she thinks poor kurama is a girl...I didn't dare correct her that time...the only ones who either don't care or like yaoi like me is my 10 year old cousin and my 14 year old step brother, son of my homophobe step mom...I would be disowned if my mom, dad, or stepdad found out...

We were in a Barnes and Noble and I took my dad to the manga section. I showed him Fake, which I had been giggling at my brother's work. I explained it to him and pointed out the cute bits, and he laughed with me!

Well, I was reading a FAKE in the cafeteria at work and someone asked what it was. Beign pretty shameless when it comes to my addictions (including cosplay hehe), I told them what it was.

But that doesn't really count cause Glen is gay so he wanted to read them rofl And well, being old enough to do what I want, it's not like I really care what my parents'd say about me reading/watching shounen-ai or yaoi lol Or shoujo-ai and yuri for that matter >>
