"Don't worry about it," Kyo said, returning the hug. "You warned me beforehand, so you don't need to apologize." He let the tension from the jump evaporate and soon the tiredness that had momentarily disappeared returned to him.

"I'll help you to your new room." he said, picking him up and carrying him to the bed, tucking him in. "See you in the morning." He told him before locking the windows to make sure that no one could get in without making a noise loud enough to wake himself up. After all, he was just next door.

Kyo watched as Giki-san left the room and he reached for the panda that he left on the bed while unpacking. Hugging it close, he let the feeling of security mix in with his tiredness. Before long, he had fallen asleep.

The night passed without incident, and his parents snuck into Gikishou's room as he slept before tickling him. "Haha! Mom! Dad!" He writhed free of their tickling fingers before hugging them both. "I'm glad you guys are home!" He told them, but keeping his voice down some. He smiled. "I think he's still asleep." he told them, knocking lightly before opening the door. Sure enough, he was breathing evenly, his eyes closed as he snuggled with the panda bear. Gikishou smiled nad closed the door. His parents had gotten a glimpse and where smiling. They lead him to the dining room. "He is so cute! Where did you meet him?" His mom asked. "He's my tutor." "Do you like him?" Gikishou paused. "Yeah... but he doesn't know, and I'm not going to force it. After all, if he decides to like me, then that'll be perfect. If he ends up with someone else then I guess I;m outta luck." He had no idea that Kyo had heard him.

Kyo had been awake for quite some time now, but he kept his eyes closed to block out the sun. There was a cheerful atmosphere in the air, and he had decided to wake up and head downstairs. It was then that he heard Giki-san say the things that surprised him most. Like? As in have a crush on?
"Good morning, Giki-san!" Kyo greeted, deciding to ponder about the words later. It wasn't like it was urgent that he think about them. Still, he couldn't believe that the junior liked him. Did that mean that Giki-san was... a homosexual?

"Giki? You've never let anyone call you giki except us, and even then you pouted about it all through middle school!" Gikishou blushed a little bit. "Mooooom" He whined, and his parents laughed. "Well, we should get breakfast ready, I know youve been missing my chocolate chip pancakes." Gikishou grinned. "Definitely. By the way, this is Kyo. I told you about him yesterday."

Kyo couldn't help but giggle at Giki-san's whine. He didn't know the junior would have that somewhat childish side, or so that's what he thought of that side. He turned his attention to the parents, who also seemed to have their attention directed at him. "It's nice to meet both of you," he said, bowing respectfully. "I hope I won't be any trouble to you while I'm here."

"Nonsense. We're happy to have such a polite young boy here. Just make yourself right at home." His dad said cheerfully. "I'll make some omelettes to go with out waffles. Gikishou pulled out a seat for Kyo and smiled. "best cooks ever." He said cheerfully.

"It must be nice to have parents cook for you," Kyo said, sitting on the chair that Giki-san had pulled out for him. "They must really care about you a lot if they're willing to take their time to do this." It felt a little weird that someone else is cooking breakfast instead of himself, but he might as well get used to it.

"Well, they like the idea of one big family. Cooking, family nights, the whole nine yards. They're great parents." He told him with a smile. Soon, the food was done. "I put ham, cheese, bacon, and sausage in the omelettes." His dad said as he put them on their plates. Gikishou licked his lips, but waited. Once the huge plate of pancakes was set on the table, and everyone was seated, they began to eat.

Kyo didn't feel like he wanted any breakfast, but he ate his food just to be polite. He had no problem with the breakfast, which was in fact delicious, he just didn't feel hungry. Perhaps it was just because he rarely ate, and so he had grown used to not eating at all. Still, he couldn't help but feel like he didn't want to be at this very table. Was he already homesick?

Gikishou saw how uncomfortable he seemed to feel and immediately knew what was wrong. It just took a few days to adjust to changes, es[ecially environment. Living in a house where parents were understanding, caring, and nice was probably making him feel cautious and vulnerable.

'It's really hard to believe how much I miss my old home,' Kyo thought to himself. 'Perhaps it's the new atmosphere. There's no more neglect. It feels like a normal family.'

Once breakfast was done, his parents went to sleep. Gikishou nodded. "You guys did fly all through the night. Jet lag must be bad." he said, smiling. They went to bed and Gikishou cleaned up. "New environments can make you uncomfortable. In a few days this'll feel normal to you." he assured him.

"Jet lag?" Kyo asked. He held a hand to his forehead. "I really should learn how to speak like a normal person." He giggled a bit, but then he stopped, thinking back to that time at the fair when that Joni person said something... strange. "Giki-san, do you... like me?"
