My friend and I were at a signing of his new book [Me:Moir], and everyone else in the tent was completely silent, shuffling along in the queue. Naturally, we decided to break the silence by talking needlessly loudly about giant syringes and Beatrix Potter. You could probably hear our conversation from where he was sitting. We quietened down a bit when we got closer, but then an official stepped forward and asked us if our books were at the correct page.
I went off into an amiable rant about which was the correct page, the people in front of us moved away, and I turned to Vic Reeves, still in full flow. He had to listen to me for a while. ninja Then my friend steps forward, and asks him to make out the signature to Elizabeth Alexandra Hanham Lowry (or whatever her middle names are). Then we wandered off, but after getting about a metre away from the signing table, we realised we'd walked the wrong way. Cue another rant about people getting in our way as we walked back past the signing table.
That's a long post for such a boring event. He did look a little scared. domokun
