lurichan Deific Requiem Agreed
It should be noted that most people can't think logically, nor can they think in such a manner befitting a proper parental figure. I am sure that if this is their attitude the "spare the rod" mentality is in full effect. I can't advise you to simply ignore it; that is ridiculous. I have never been in a workplace environment so I have little understanding of the common practices of an employee. This meaning: I am unsure of the reprocusions that might come via if and when you do complain to them.
I suppose you have to grin and bear it.
I WANTED to yell at her... I settled for writing a few lines in my notebook and taking a few uneasy breaths before work to try to settle myself a little bit. Hearing that poor kid pleading with his mother to stop it really really hit a few raw nerves, and I had a GOOD childhood. ^^* I suppose people who have children are a bit desensitized to when children cry, but it still shot straight though my mind...I wanted to be able to do something. ANYTHING to make things better for that poor kid. I hate people who pick on people who are weaker than them. *sigh* It's hard to explain it to people, but I pick up on emotions a little more easily than most people. I could hear and feel his panic and fear...
I am sure that the child has gone to childrens aid. I would hope. If you have a show that has such a fanbase as Dr. Phil, you wouldn't dare let that child go without alerting the proper officials. However, sometimes the situation the childrens aid puts children into is, sometimes - not always, the same if not worse. Generally speaking, they do have a semi - decent track record. I am not sure of the system in place in each respective state but here here in Ontario it is so so.

IY_and_MCR lurichan I WANTED to yell at her... I settled for writing a few lines in my notebook and taking a few uneasy breaths before work to try to settle myself a little bit. I hate people who pick on people who are weaker than them. *sigh* It's hard to explain it to people, but I pick up on emotions a little more easily than most people. I could hear and feel his panic and fear... Your empathy will be the end of you. I can usualy deal with things that that (not that I agree with those parents at all or think they deserve children). I have an odd mix of empathy and apathy. Certin things push my buttons, but in general I can just not care about a lot of things. We are rehabed and we're ready for our fifteen minuites of shame
More than likely it will be the end of me someday, but... it's not like I have a switch in the back of my head that turns it on and off. -_-* Some things get to me more than others to, plus it depends on a lot of factors. Like if I've eaten a whole bunch of junk food it's so dulled I barely get anything from it... if I haven't eaten much of anything in a while it's a lot sharper and I get a lot more. ^^*

lurichan Deific Requiem I am sure that the child has gone to childrens aid. I would hope. However, sometimes the situation the childrens aid puts children into is, sometimes - not always, the same if not worse. Generally speaking, they do have a semi - decent track record. I am not sure of the system in place in each respective state but here here in Ontario it is so so. She was on the show to get help.. but I just wanted to wretch watching her cry about what she was caught on tape doing to her child. She pretty much called her 10 year old son every name in the book, and the 7 year old daughter who was mothering the other children (cause their real mom was doing a crummy job) got called names too for trying to help the other children get ready for school. ~_~ I'm sure they will keep an eye on her, but who is to say she won't just put on a good show for the cameras and then revert to her own wretched self when people aren't paying attention to her anymore?
It comes to mind.
Why would she even agree to participate in the production?
Does she want help? Does she admit to being a horrible parent and want the best for her children? or Did she want the free vacation?
His show really makes you think - what happens to these people?
The people who have, via a polygraph administered via his staffs selection, been found guilty?
It is admisable in court.
It just doesn't make sense alot of the time.
