Well, I don't know about "Lord of the Rings" and "Star Trek", but I think I know a couple of Yuri pairs in Harry Potter. HermoinexLuna, ChoxHermoine... I think those two are among the most popular.

Buuuuut since this is a Yaoi Guild, let's talk about Yaoi! Okay. So... >.> <.< ... All right, I got nothing. I don't usually watch or read Yaoi, but "Papa to Kiss in the Dark" was pretty weird. :/ Anyone heard or watched it too?

I thought Papa to Kiss in the Dark was adorable. I've watched it twice now, I think. If you don't mind me asking, Maki, why are you here? Not specifically here, in the RP forum, but in the yaoi guild in general. You don't really seem to care about it or be interested in it much, which is fine; but if that's the case, I can't imagine why you'd want to hang around us.

Also, LotR = Eowyn/Arwen, Arwen/Galadriel
Star Trek ToS = Rand/Uhura
And my favorite Harry Potter femslash couple is Pansy/Hermione. But basically any pairing with Cho, Luna, or Pansy is good with me. :]

I wanted to understand why Yaoi attracts a lot of fans. I mean, I don't particularly like or dislike it, since I support gay rights, but I just wanted to... explore the whole concept, and maybe, even learn to like it. I also wanted to see if there were any DECENT fans in here (you know, the squeamish yaoi fangirls really give you guys a bad name). So far, for the liking part, I'm still neutral, and it looks like that there are some clear-headed people in here.

Yup. Also, I like role playing, and shounen-ai RPs don't really bother me at all. ^^

Well, the answer to that seems pretty obvious to me. It attracts fans for the same reason anything else attracts fans: people like it. And yeah, there are some obnoxious, appetite-ruining fans around, but we mostly try to filter those out. I think there's also a yaoi guild called Mature Boys Love Guild or something like that, where they exclusively invite 'mature yaoi fans.'

Doing some moderating in our sister guild, The Shoujo-Ai and Yuri Guild. Drinking caffeine to hopefully keep me awake, even though I know it doesn't have an effect on me anymore since I've been drinking it for about ten years. xDD How bout you?
