He shook his head slowly. "It's fine Bernadette, really. I'm fine." He gave her a small smile. She was right, he was lonely but it was something he had learned to live with. In truth it was probably why he was kind of clingy around her.

She didn't know why but after everything that he'd done today she couldn't help herself. She had swam up close to him and took his face in her hands and kissed him.

Alex blinked a bit dumbfounded by her kissing him. That was something he certainly hadn't seen coming. After a few moments he hesitantly returned it, blushing deeply as he did so.

Bernadette blushed deeply as she pulled away. She couldn't understand why she had done it, only that she did enjoy it. She bit her lip again and looked up at him through her eye lashes, trying to gauge his reaction to it.

"Sorry.. I don't know what came over me." She still couldn't tell how he felt about. She hid her face in her hands, her cheeks hot with blush.

Butterflies stirred in her stomach as he touched her waist. She slowly dropped her hands. "You.... you did?"

He nodded slowly, looking down for a moment. "Yeah... as I said, a little unexpected. But I sure as hell don't mind." He said with a smile.

This made her smile a little bit and her blush quit receding. unknowingly her hands had fallen to rest on his chest. Her heart quickened when the realization came to her.

He pulled her a little closer and kissed her very lightly on the lips for a second. "How about you? How do you feel about it?"

The only answer she gave him was another kiss, not wanting that second one to be cut so short. She was pressed against him before she knew it and had no intention of leave just yet.

He smiled into the kiss, wrapping his arms around her waist as he held her close. He kissed her back a little bit deeper than he had before.

He couldn't help but smile as he heard her soft moan. He deepened the kiss a bit more and ran a hand through her hair gently, loving every moment of the kiss.
