Takehiko
"Daisuke... The name echoed off the little angel's lips, resounding in Takehiko's head like the knell of a church bell. The scarlet glow in his eyes faded, leaving only a sparkling green. "K...Kail!" he called out, rising to his feet, pressing his hands against the barrier, even though the magic singed his flesh. "Kail...please....are you ok?! Kail, don't go!" the prince begged, though at the moment, he seemed more like Daisuke than Takehiko.

Seeing the demon prince break from his wild state O'hono gave a soft smile but Kiar showed no reaction and the other master angel would not drop the barrier unless he gave to okay. "Why should he stay? Does he look okay to you, you nearly bled him dry. Whats to stop you from doing it again when we are not here to stop you?" Kiar questioned Takehiko.

"I'm sorry!" was all he could think to say. "I tried to say no! I've...I've never had such a thing before. Fresh, living angel's blood...I couldn't stop myself. It was overwhelming. I told him no! Please...forgive me!" Takehiko's eyes began to fade from their natural green into a softer, more human hazel tone. "I'll do anything...anything at all...just don't take him. Don't. You can't!"

"Sorry does not fix the damage you have done." Kiar growled. "What if he does not want you when he is healed?" Kiar continued.
"How... how are you going to stop yourself if he wants you to feed from him again?" O'hono interrupted silencing her mate's glare with one of her own.

"If he doesn't want me anymore....then that is the punishment I deserve. It is a worse punishment than you can even imagine." the prince hung his head, shamed. Hearing O'hono, he lifted his eyes. "I don't...I don't know..." he answered solemnly. "But why would he do a thing like that, after this?"

Kiar said nothing as he watched the demon prince and his mate interact. He still held onto Kail who was still enveloped in Kiar's healing magic. "Knowing Kail as I do, he thinks it would be better than you going out after a human and you gain very little from eating human's meat. If he did offer it once more would you be able to stop yourself from feeding off of him or from taking to much?" O'hono questioned.

"I cannot promise I can say no....but there must be another way! I mean, I know now! I know how powerful the blood is! I know what to expect...and I believe I can restrain myself. You have to give me another chance! I cannot be apart from Kail, nor he from me, surely!" It sounded as if Takehiko were begging for his life. In a sense, he was. Kail was his life, and without the little angel, he didn't know what he might do.

O'hono gave a soft nod and looked to Kiar who waved his hand to the other angels. The barrier was dropped almost immediately. "The next time you feed before such a thing happens you will have Kail call one of us." Kiar said in a tone that left no room for argument. "The if he wishes to return to heaven you will let him go should he decide that when he awakes. Do you agree?" Kiar questioned.

Falling to his knees, he bowed down to the angels. "I agree! I agree!" he conceded. He was in no position to argue. He only hoped Kail would forgive him...not be angry or afraid of him...when he pulled through. If...he pulled through. "Is...is Kail going to be ok?" he asked, almost as if he were afraid of the answer. He had taken in so much of the little angel's blood, and he could feel it coursing through his body like a thousand volts of energy. It was sublime, though he would not allow himself the time to enjoy it. Not now, not while his beloved was in such a dire state.

"Come take him then." Kiar said holding Kail out a bit. The glow that had surrounded the young angel slowly receded and Kail reverted to his tiny form. "He shall be fine, his magic is quite low but I have restored his blood. He will undoubtedly be tired for the next couple days and I am uncertain whether he shall be able to revert to his full form during the daylight today or tomorrow. His magic needs time to rebuild." Kiar said sternly. "If your father sends his attack soon Kail cannot fight, if he drains his magic past the levels they are now it may not return." Kiar continued.
"Call on us if you need us," O'hono said softly.

Standing, Takehiko walked slowly toward Kiar. Reaching out, he took the small form of the angel into his arms, gently, cradling him like one would an infant. "Thank you....thank you so much." he bowed his head at the angels, stepping back. Looking at Kail's sleeping face, the demon felt a feeling well up in his chest that he couldn't quite recall having ever felt before. It was something he couldn't put a name to. He knew that he loved the little angel, but it had always felt a bit different. He knew lust well, but this was a feeling of absolute protectiveness, complete reverence, and incredible luckiness. Perhaps, the demon thought, he was coming to love Kail more. No matter what, he promised himself he would never allow him to hurt his little angel again.

Kiar allowed Takehiko to take Kail from him. The tiny angel had curled up against Takehiko the moment he had entered the demon prince's arms. Kiar gave a heavy sigh, "Don't betray him, because so help me should you do so I will make I personally obliterate you." Kiar threatened before he disappeared with the other angels leaving only O'hono.
"I would heed his words if I were you, Kiar does not make threats lightly" O'hono said giving a slight smirk. "I shall return soon to check up on you and Kail. Please take care of him, he is dear to all of us." she continued before she too disappeared.

"I won't betray him...I will do all I can to be good to the little one..." the prince answered back to the angels. Then they were gone. Silently, Takehiko carried Kail into the bedroom, swaddling him in a warm, white blanket. "So adorable..." he whispered, kissing the small thing on the forehead as he lay him on the bed. Crawling into the bed himself, Takehiko placed one arm around the little angel, cuddling him close as he began to drift off as well.

Kail slept heavily not waking a bit through the night as he lay wrapped in the warm blanket within Takehiko's embrace. Kail awoke slowly and groggily the next morning finding himself feeling weaker than he expected. He slowly wormed his way out of the blanket and to the edge of the bed where he attempted to resume his bigger form. When it didn't come as easily as expected Kail summoned more of his magic the moment he did however he felt suddenly dizzy.

Takehiko
Sunlight poured in the window, warming Takehiko's face. It felt so familiar. Opening his eyes, he blinked, stretched, yawned, sat up, then looked at the clock. "I'm late for work...." he mumbled, running his hand through his hair. For a moment, he had forgotten who he was. Being in this bed, in this room...it had practically reset him into being Daisuke...but only for a moment. Coming back to his senses, he turned to look for Kail, finding the small angel trying to get out of the bed, but having a rough time of it. "Kail...please lay down, darling." he said, reaching out and taking the angel by the arm, not sure how he would react to the touch.
