Hahahahahaha. Hearing the kids saying that the music encourages to cut cracks me up especially with Gerard singing in the background.....MCR is NOT EMO! Yeah that clip brought tears to my eyes. And the cutters that were interviewed....I personally think they are idiots....Oh well. And then we wonder why people call MCR emo....it's because of news like that.

Adults never understand the younger generations' culture, and they freak out about things they don't/can't/won't understand. I agree that they flashed MCR alot, but they're one of the most recognizable "emo" bands. Just ignore this sort of thing; they've pulled crap like this for goth, grunge, punk, old school rock, pop. It's a cycle; ignore it and they'll go worry over something else

way to take things out of context CBS....
They didn't even mention that the album is a story and not just random depressed/suicidal songs!! They just totally stereotyped "emo" and made it a catch-all. They didn't even have ONE emo kid on there that didn't deal w/ depression and crap. grr....

That really pisses me off. I hate people who label things and a lot of times my parents are telling me not to label people--well look at this! This is some bullshit! What really got me angry is when they showed the 'Teenagers' video which is a song against teenage violence. Adults are sooooooooo off.

see, i don't know what "emo" or "scene" is and from what i do know, i really don't respect it or take it very seriously.
so as much as i would like to be offended, i am not quite sure i have the right to be.
maybe, MCR isn't "emo", but "emo" kids like them.
ever consider that?

That is so far from the truth ugh!!!, that rediculas music does make u emo, or make u cut ur self u do . depressing music doesn't make u depressed. most people who cut them selfs have a bad home life or other s**t going on!!! my chemical romance isn't emo either infact gerard way is very agisnst cutters and has lectured fans that cut, say stuff like ur better then that so this entire thing is a big fat lie , plus not all emos cut!!! i would know
