Cons are tons of fun if just to meet up with friends that you don't otherwise get to meet =). Honestly that's probably the only reason I drive myself to a con these days. First con was Akon 06 last year and since then I've attended Animefest 06, Oni-con 06, worked security at Anime Matsuri, went to Akon 07, and recently worked dealers room at Mecha-con 3. Only problem is hotel costs and gas money ;_;. Ah well, sacrifice sacrifice =).

I havn't been to any Cons, but next year I'm going to Anime-Con 08 at Houston, which would be my first anime convention.
Right now I'm thinking of who I should cosplay and stuff like that.I'm actually thinking more about what stuff I want to see and buy! Plushie Party! >///<
If I have tons of fun, I'm sure I'm going to ant to go again the next year, then maybe the year after that.

went to my first (and so far only) one earlier this year. anime central in chicago. i went for a day, and it was neat.

Never been to one. It's not like there's a lot of cons here in Mexico. Even though Guadalajara is twice as much of a cultural center than the Mexico City. emo
