One of my best friends (who I've lost touch with, sadly) was an AWESOME origami maker.
She could seriously make just about anything I asked her to, maybe even green eggs and ham. ;O


Anyways, I suck at origami, I can't even make the 3D stars. -.-"

I've been too lazy to learn how to make anything but the crane. Whenever I get a scrap peice of paper, I always would try to make it into a crane. I once got hold of a newspaper in Literature class and made a whole bunch of cranes (including teensy weensy ones). My teacher let me put them all over one of her tables. XD

I love making interesting boxes and filling them with either origami:
a. stars
b. cranes
c. candies
d. hearts
e. envelope shaped messages (it's possible to make paper out of paper)

my favorite box I made was for a birthday. It was had a purple top, yellow bottom and yellow ribbon (Did not make ribbon out of origami). It was special because on the sides of the box I pasted some stars, cranes, bunnies made in origami style. I added some secret touches that made it special to me, but that's personal. wink

I used to be really into oragami. I couldnt do much but I could make stars, cranes, boxes, envelopes and an organ. Sadly I forgot how to make most of them.. I can make stars now and cranes but not very well. sweatdrop I got a whole bunch of origami paper for my b-day a few years ago. Not the best kind but still very pretty and I still have a lot left.

I remember making strawberries, frogs, cranes and stars but now i've completely forgotten how to do them >0<
But overall origami is nice to look at at biggrin

i can make itty bitty paper cranes! lolz

once i made 57 origami paper ordaments in two weeks with glitter glue on them for kids i don't know. my bus driver asked me to make them....

Well I did make a kusudama ball and they're cool....

The new origami I saw (for me) was modular origami.
I like the fancy origami boxes where it looks like coloured paper layered over another.

There's also another one where you stack little units together to make some character like Hamtaro or Kerroppi or something along those lines.
I don't know what the name of this kind is called.

My mom use to make sunflower origami and other flowers...
Origami is good for decorating your house if you don't have enough money to buy pictures and stuff...
