Funny...Thats pretty much the same for me: cartoon network and cousin. My brother says he loves anime and manga, but when i name some he says," havent seen it". Some anime he says he likes hes barely watched.

well thats strange if he says he loves them but has not seen certain ones. sweatdrop

anime: I kept changing the channel to channels I normally watch and turned it to cartoon network, and Inuyasha was on. It seemed really interesting, so I kept watching it. 3nodding

Anime: watching TV one day
Manga: I decided to see what it was like, so I started collecting

Anime: well, i never knew pokemon was anime, and i watched it all the time. then i truly learned what anime was from my cousin who was watching FMA.

Manga: Me and my sister saw it in the library one day and got hooked. xd
i dont read manga as much as i watch anime though......

Anime: My band teacher got me to watch 'Cowboy Bebop' and now I'm hooked.
Manga: My friend showed me a copy of 'Hikaru No Go' and I liked it so I went out and bought some Manga.

Cartoon Network got me into Sailor Moon, which got me into other anime shows.
Mangas, well, in eighth grade, I had friends that read these crazy backward books, and I had them teach me how to read them. The backward books were mangas, of course.

My friend introduced me to the anime Chobits which was the manga and I fell in love with the books.
Now the TV series for animes, I was hooked after seeing Card Captor Sakura.

My first anime experience was Pokemon (when it first started airing in America) and my first manga experience was (don't laugh) Gravitation. One of my friends had it with her and she let me read it on the bus.

TSA... our school's TSA construction challenge team (which included me for some reason) made it to nationals. In the hotel room in Kentucky, when everyone else was asleep, I watched adult swim. It was way back when, when Trigun was still on. It was the last few episodes... which included Wolfwood's death and such... and I fell in love with the series. Once Trigun went off the air, I started watching all kinds of anime. So... thank you TSA!
