I think it all depends on how strong the fanbase stays for .hack... If people begin to lose interest, there'll be no more .hack, but it also depends on the producers/developers/creators/etc. to keep it going instead of ending it and leaving people wanting more.

if they keep making games it could continue longer. but 20 years seems a bit long, I'm guessing about 10-15. xp
They already made a .hack//fragment game, well online game, so I'm pretty sure about 10-15 yrs.

it did end with dbgt but by a differnt drictor and dragon ball af is fake its real in japan but it doesnt have to do with the real dragon ball serires

I hope it goes on forever but I think it will stop in like 7 years because I think they'll think people will get tired of it and will want an ending.

Ah but luckily .Hack comes in various linked incarnations, and the individuals have endings. If it were like a never ending one-shot, that'd be a problem. =0= {!)
