Oh jeez, my mom would freak if she saw your post! XD

But anyway, I think people like him people he's very commanding and always seems to be in control, while at the same time he can be humorous and laidback. Or maybe bald guys just have some kind of awesome attraction power, who knows.

He's hot heart

I dunno, it's been so long since I saw anything but TOS or TNG that all I have to properly compare him to is Kirk. I don't much care for Kirk.

Anyway, Picard is commanding and cool and in control; he's got that voice; he's got that look. I love when someone makes a suggestion regarding his orders and he just all, "Noted," and you know and the person he's talking to know-- everyone knows!-- that he doesn't give a flying flip what this person has to say. Who's the captain here, biatch? Even though he's all serious, though, he can still have fun. Oh, and he's always insulting Wesley! In front of Beverly! Yet she's still got the hots for his bald spot!

And, hey, a little more fanservice for the ladies wink

NOTHING! pirate

On a more serious note, I think his popularity stems from The Next Generation being wildly more popular than the original series. Not only did The Next Generation run for four more years than the original series, but it had a larger budget and more characters. It's likely that more people have seen more of TNG than TOS. My mother, who was alive for both series, prefers TNG. I believe, in some cases, it might be an attachement to the series more than Picard itself.

Because he's freakin' Captain Gene-Luck Pikrd. He's one of the few men on this earth who would turn me gay in a heart beat.

Correction, what's NOT great about Captain Picard?!

He was supposed to be trench wit a trench accent. He was supposed to be kind of the French Chekov.

Speaking of Picard, I just ordered seasons 1&2 of TNG from Amazon for £3.30!
(Well, technically, I still had £34 left on my gift voucher, so it cost about £37. But, still.. around 45-50 episodes for £37 (RPP £70) is not bad AT ALL <3)

    He's not REALLY French.
He has French blood and a French family line.
That doesn't mean he was brought up around people with a French accent.
Who knows? Maybe there won't be such thing as a French Accent in a few centuries :3

I really don't like him that much anymore. The Enterprise needed ac Captain, not a sounding board. Yick.

Picard is just amazing. I love his voice, and his humor, he knows how to have fun, but he also knows how to be serious and in charge. also, he is supposed to be french, he was brought up in france and everthing, but since Patric Stewart is british Picard has a british accent, and that's okay because he's just AMAZING!!!

I heart Patrick Stewart to TINY LITTLE PIECESSSS.
There's just something about his mannerisms that appeal to me more than any of the others.
Though Captain laForge is a veeeery close second! Timeless is a kickass episode.
