It would be awful. But I can see Shatner dancing and singing. Because that's what he does, and I love him.
Spock would be the guy standing on the side during all the dances, ask how and why everyone broke out into organized song and choreographed dance, and at the very end he would do some great big dance and leave everyone's mouth ajar in awe.

Oh, and Rocket Man would definitely be in there.

So true. It's just something Spock would do, cause he's cool like that. I'm going to make that a fanfic now...

Now this is my thread! I love showtunes, so I'm always putting them to different characters and situations. (Sad, I know)

For Voyager I thought Janeway and Seven could sing "Take Me or Leave Me" from Rent. Kes and Neelix I can see singing silly romantic songs like "Last Night of the World" Um.. I can see Neelix singing, well, if he could sing, "Long As I'm Here With You" from Thourougly Modern Millie.

I think a musical could happen, there are so many different kinds. And not all musicals are super happy sing-and-dance extravaganzas. I think it would just be really hard to pull off, and to attract audiences. I don't think a lot of Trekkies are musical theatre dorks like me.

Seriously... does there really need to be a trek musical? Think of it... Kirk would have to be played by a gay man who prances around stage in a liatard...

That might be worse than LOTR: The Musical... I'm sorry but I don't wana see singing and dancing hobbits... they're annoying enough as it is.
