I've noticed that for a long time now.
I wonder why that is, that alot of times it turns out that way..?

Well, Soubi's hair is like, blond where as Ritsuka's is dark! Haha. Unless, you know, Soubi was the uke with Seimei than that makes senese but....
Yah.

In the manga Our Kingdom/Bokura no Oukoku you have the seme Rei whose hair is light(blue) and the uke whose hair is dark brown. It's quite interesting. I noticed someone had their picture in their signature smile

Did you ever notice that in most yaoi and shonen-ai(not all, but a very large amount) that the Seme usually has dark hair and the Uke has light hair?

For example:

Brother
Yellow
Wild Rock
Empty Heart
Boy Princess

and I know theres a lot more, but I can't think of any of them right now....
hmmm. you're right.. stare
random notice: you read boy princess? me too! 3nodding 3nodding

There have been so many times where I thought of starting a thread just like this.

I certainly have noticed that. It's quite common but certainly not EVERY series follows that formula.

I often wonder if the artists/authors realize they do that.

Another series that follows that formula is Little Butterfly. I know there are tons of others but it's late and I can't think of others.

I never thought of that. O_O Look at Sukisho/Sukisyo, Ran/Sunao has pink to red hair while Yoru/Sora has blue to dark blue. xD

Loveless and Gravitation doesn't follow that "rule", though. Who would consider Eiri the uke? x,,D *dies from thought* And he's a blonde.

I've noticed that too XD Like in Fake, Not So Bad, and Legal Drug, the Uke's usually have light brown or blonde hair.

But in Let Dai, its the opposite XD

But it still amuses me biggrin
