I guess i couldn't say if i really hated or loved it since i haven't read any fanficing with that in it, but i kinda find it odd.. i think i just think to much about the real thing, like, if a guy was pregnant, how the hell would he actually give birth to the baby?? but if i read something on kyou and yuki, with yuki getting pregnant, i think i'd actually enjoy it ^^

MinaMouse I have to say, I don't really like Mpreg. The second a story turns into 'Whoops, got pregnant' and they're both male, I stop reading. However, there was one where Kisame from Naruto got Itachi pregnant, and it got me thinking... If Itachi was going to have Kisame's babies, since Kisame is some sort of freaky fish man, would Itachi have to lay eggs? All this and other thoughts you have on Mpreg! X'D That just gave me a hilarious picture in my head! X'D But no, Mpreg is...jsut weird, really. MEN CAN NOT GET PREGNANT! It does not work! No! Then it's just plain womanizing it all, it's not yaoi if it involves pregnacy. Genderswitch=not yaoi.

IY_and_MCR But, oh I heard that scientists are researching ectopic pregnancy to see if they can use that concept to impregnate men. Huh. If that succeeds (highly, highly unlikely, IMO) I wonder if people who were previously against homosexuality because it couldn't naturally produce babies would let up. ..probably not.

I'm not into MPreg. It's so unrealisitic I roll my eyes instead of enjoy reading it. Also, a lot of the time it's really badly written. There are a few instances where I've enjoyed reading it, but it normally involved characters who aren't actually human, thus it's more plausible, and the writing has been of outstanding standard. Sadly, they cut off before they were finished. stare Figures.

I enjoy them if they are not tacky, over 30 chapters long, or just monotonous.

I like it if it's well written, but if it isn't a good story it scares me a little. I'm sorta picky with fanfics/comics.

I'm not exactly bothered by mpregs. It’s not my favorite type of story but I am amused by mpregs. They're not exactly out of this world either. I think people have just been fascinated with men giving birth since the beginning of time. Zeus had two of them, after all. And I'm sure there are others that I can't think of right now.
My only issue with mpregs are plausibility. I want a good, believable explanation.

Personally, I'm not one for Mpreg either, and just like you, I tend to become disinterested once it appears in a fic I'm reading. However, there was one exception...It was Gundam Wing fic, HeeroxDuo of course, and Duo eventually concieves but, the author was extremely thorough, going so far as to explain his anatomy in detail and tying some events in with the real GW plot-line. In this case, Duo was semi-hermaphroditic. I much prefer the theory of hermaphrodites to "Whoops! I'm preggers!" Well, anyway, I say no to Mpreg. Sorry, that's just me. Please remember future fic writers, there is always adoption...or cloning...(you know..with the bio-engineering and what-not...)...

I'd have to say it's not my cup of tea. I'm not so sure if it's because it offends me, or grosses me out...I think it's more so because I just don't like fics about parentheood. I think even if a woman in a fic were to get pregnant or have a child ( as in, out of context of the original series ), I would still be turned away. Those kinds of stories just bore me.
But, I guess also in a with mpreg, all in all, it doesn't sit quite right with me. I won't try to explain it, I just don't take to it. At all. So that's that. ^_^

Mpreg really isn't the sort of thing I seek out, but it's not something I would avoid if I came across it.... Me being so picky, if it's a ship I like and it's written well, then yeh, I wouldn't mind reading it through. Otherwise I'd just look for something else to read.... I once read a mpreg dialogue ficlet I really liked with HarryxDraco called "Call it 'Mother's Intuition'". It was funny, they both seemed in character, and it was short (heh, I read mostly oneshots). In other words, I loved it. (here if you wanna see...)

I don't really have much to say on the matter, I think its mildly interesting at the thought, though I'd hate to imagen the baby coming out through the male's reproductive -ahem- 'tool' xD I think the couple would have to have what they call a C section. I sometimes fantasize about a few guy's I know that tend to date and screw every girl in school. getting pregnet. For no beter reason than to get a good taste of his own medicine, course the girls could stop being wh- *cuts off before she goes into a rant*.
-ahem- I find it more interesting then gross. I think its more on the misunderstood side of this conversation, but whatever. ^^

DaemonRozalyx Please remember future fic writers, there is always adoption...or cloning...(you know..with the bio-engineering and what-not...)... We wish they'd do stuff like that. But I think people are still stuck on this whole "it must be my own blood!" business. Also, bio-engineering stories need creativity. Many writers don't have that.

I doubt they'll have any reall seccess, but it is enteresting I dount it would help with people againts homosexuality, since they would still need a woman and all that. So, it's not like the man just became pregnant.

I read it, but I read it out of boredom. So I can't really answer the question.
