I have the special edition... but I've seen both covers. Yeah the inverted colors threw me off too.

Limited Edition has: a booklet with the making of The Black Parade which had POV stories from Gerard, Mikey and Bob then Ray and Frank talk about stuff done for each song then lyrics, 4 photos of the guys in their Parade jackets and stuff and the characters from the video and comes in a velvet case kinda of thing.
When you pre-ordered it was $20. Now its $30.

I got the white one because it looks better.
And I got the limited edition a couple of weeks later.

arg i feel like i'm rubbing it in but i got the special edition redface the only bad thing about it is I carry the whole thing with me and it's not like a small cd case.

I live in Brazil, so my dad got the CD for me when he went on a business trip to France...
He got me the white covered one... And I hadn't seen the black one yet (thanks for the picture ;D)
I like the white cover better whee
I had actualy asked him to get me the special edition expensive case thingeh... but he said it was 50 Euros so he didn't get it eek
Now I just told him that it costs 30 bucks in the US... so he's gettin it for me on a next trip whee

Hm, strange. I don't think it matters, it might just have a black cover. ninja
Of course, my friend burned WTTBP for me, so I wouldn't know. blaugh

I got Black, but only 'cause it makes The Patient (?) on the front look a bit more like he was supposed to, once he joined the Parade. But there can't be a hidden track on there, as I didn't find it when I searched the cd on the file browser on my pc.

A Story:
So the day The Black Parade came out, me and my friend were
in Virgin Megastore in Manhattan when they were giving out the tickets to
the Webster Hall show and we saw Brian, their manager, and my friend asked him if there was any difference to the CDs. He said the Black one was a limited edition and that Gerard just wanted two covers.

Well, I dug up my version of this that I posted somewhere in TBP guild, so here it is, my conversation with Brian Schecter...
Me: Hey, you're Brian Schecter, aren't you?
Brian: A-yup. That's me.
Me: So you'll know. What's the difference between these? *holds up black cover and white cover*
Brian: Well, there's the regular edition, and then there's the special edition. And they're only making so many of those, and that's it. After that, they're not releasing any more of them.
Me: No, no, I knew that. I meant, between the black and white. Is there any difference between them?
Brian: Oh. No. Nothing. It's just the slipcover. *me making a 'why?' face* There are two covers. There's nothing else different. The inside is exactly the same. It's just, one is black and one is white.... They wanted two covers... 'cause... Gerard is... bitchy like that.
