I'm actually glad no one has flamed me through my sense of stupidity.
I dont mind the people who actually go out and buy all of their albums. but the ones who think that Welcome to the Black Parade is the best song ever and they love MCR because of it s**t me up the wall. I just really wish they'd go out and buy the first two albums and LotMS first before they buy The Black Parade.

I think as long as they have effected you and you love them in such a pure way as for there music it dosn't matter one little bit when you hopped on the wagon xd

I have a friend like that and I know how frusterating it can be. This girl claimed that My Chemical Romance was her 'soul' after she heard three songs. mad
I also have a My Chemical Romance poster in my locker. Today one of the popular girls in my school came up to me, and said "OH MY GOD I LOVE THEM SOOO MUCH." I asked what songs she'd heard, and she said "Oh it's called The Black Parade or something" scream

I haven't been with them since the beginning, but I'm not a new fan just from The Black Parade... Two of my best friends were really into them, and they got me into them too. I'm pretty sure the first song I ever heard by them was Give 'Em Hell Kid... After that I heard Ghost of You, and then Helena... and then I got into all the other stuff.

First song for me was I'm Not Okay, got the Three Cheers album early '05. 3 months later I ordered Bullets from an Indie store. Might I add it took 2 months to effin get here, direct from Eyeball. The freakin shop sold the first one I ordered in to another desperate fan so they had to order it for me AGAIN!
Bloody hell! It was worth it though.
Lets just say all the long time fans have stuck with MCR since early Three Cheers. All the people who say they are fans after listening to Welcome To The Black Parade are pathetic.

I've been with MCR since October 05'. I borrowed the Three Cheers album from a very good friend and since then I have been effing addicted.
[Vicious Lollypop] Lets just say all the long time fans have stuck with MCR since early Three Cheers. All the people who say they are fans after listening to Welcome To The Black Parade are pathetic. I am shocked and appalled by this statement. Just because someone might hear the new single and decided to buy The Black Parade album doesn't make them less of a fan then you.
In my opinion, blatant displays of elitism is pathetic. >_>;;

All the people that get into MCR right now, after The Black Parade, what are they going to say about the people who become fans after the next album comes out?! Will they be saying that those people suck a**? It's one vicious rotating cycle, and I think that if anyone likes MCR that's cool, even if they've only heard one song... I just don't think they should be over obsessive and be like "omg. mcr saved my life"... Yeah. xp

I've been a fan since "Helena". Where I became a fan and then drove my mother crazy to get the cd. We were in Florida, going to bury my aunt who everyone in the family was very close to. I saw the music video before we left and I felt connected to them. When I finally did get the cd four stores later I cried listening to the first few songs on the cd. When i found out they had another cd I bought that and "Drowning Lessons" rocked my world. You guys don't know me but understand the enormity of this when I say they are the only band to grace the walls of my bedroom. (Nothing goes on my walls... Ever.) I buy every album the day it comes out. I got Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge again when they came out with it with the dvd. I love My Chemical Romance. I haven't been with them since the begining but I'll stick with them now. Now and forever... Sorry if that was cheesy.

IY_and_MCR I have no problem with new fans. I don't like when people pretend to be fans, but screw 'em. If they buy CDs, it just means more secess for My Chem and less money for the 'fake' fans. I heard of them back before Three Cheers. (Back then I didn't know I liked rock, so I didn't look any fruther into them) I got into them after seeing the Helena video Agreed
Though ive been a fan since 'Bullets' ( 4laugh love Demolition Lovers and Drowning Lessons) but because of the small town i was living in at the time i wasnt able to get it. So when i moved, Three Cheers was just about to be released so i got them both at the same time.

Lolz. I've been a fan since Three Cheers, but I purchased and became accustomed to I Brought You My Bullets before I considered myself a real fan.
New fans annoy me, but I just tell myself that I was once like them and that they're still a fan, no matter how small.
